"The Targaryen triplets were all early dragon riders - all taking flight at the age of seven. Rhaenyra was first, flying on her she-dragon, Daenyxes, on her seventh name day. She would be riding her every day from then on - and Daenyxes songs would fill the skies of Dragonstone a little further each day, a sound that all came to admire as she flew overhead like a silver winged serpent.
Daenys would be the next, taking flight on her beloved violet and copper she-dragon, Dreamflame, a turn of the moon after her sister. Daenys, although bound to her mount, was very active with caring for all the dragons, and would call for them all to fly with her and Dreamflame - which they would happily do, trilling in the sky and following as she dove on Dreamflame from greater and greater heights, copying and flanking her on either side. Most often it was Joraxes and Barrax to take wing with her, but sometimes they would all join, Rhaenyra and Daenyxes included.
It would be two moons later that Aemon finally took flight upon Nightweaver, who would disappear into the evening skies and reappear before dawn as if he melted out of the clouds above. Having watched his sisters ride and fly first, he was immediately confident, and rode for a full evening his first flight - far longer than either Rhaenyra or Daenys had for their own virgin flights. He later admitted to them that Nightweaver wouldn't descend until the sky had begun to lighten with the dawn, having taken him all the way to King's Landing and hunting on Driftmark before returning to Dragonstone - a remarkable feat for a dragon so young but the honesty of Prince Aemon was not a question any would dare utter.
From then on, the skies of Dragonstone would be filled with dragons and riders alike."
