Did you have a comic about a D&D campaign a while back? 2020ish? I feel like I'm going crazy not being able to find it when I have memories of it
I did! I stopped in 2021 for various reasons, but intended to keep the existing pages up on the main site. Unfortunately I lost access to the domain and it’s completely gone now. I’ve still got all the pages on my computer, and have thought about putting them into pdf form for those who want access, but since there’s so many pages that would be… very tedious probably. So I haven’t done it.
I started writing the same story on AO3 (with some redraws and illustrations to go with it) just for fun and for my friends who were interested, but even that I’ve kinda stopped updating (last couple updates were like… a year apart I think). Links and stuff for that are on @daernika
I have a lot of mixed feelings about the comic. It was my first D&D campaign and something I loved, and I learned a lot from doing it, so I don’t regret it. If I hadn’t tried to make it, I would have wondered forever what could have been. But at this point I hate the art from most of it, I cringe reading the early stuff cause I didn’t know what I was doing, and overall it was a failure. In hindsight, despite learning from it, it probably prevented me from starting an art career sooner since the comic itself was basically a gamble that didn’t pay off and took up most of my time. I shouldn’t have tried to build a following on something that I knew even at the time was going to take ten years to finish at minimum. I ended up with a lot of stress and shame associated with it at the end, hence even the written version sort of trickling to mostly a stop. I ended up losing contact with most of my friends from the game over the years for various reasons, except my partner. It’s all ended up tainting my memories of the campaign itself. So it’s… all kind of a mess in my brain rip.

Day 25: Tasty / Party
Update! Only one page, sorry.
First page: (x) Current update: (x)
Daernika is a webcomic adaptation of a D&D campaign, and updates every Friday.
//no i never sold my soul
//if i ever do throw my bones to the wolves
It’s been nice to draw Aidina and other stuff from this campaign more again recently tbh
Day 1 -- Rage
——————————
Didn’t see a particular October prompt list I vibed with so I’m making my own. I’ll probably mainly use OCs/D&D characters for this, but no guarantees lol.
Day 4 — Potion ✨
————————-
I wanted to do a whole background for this, but do not have time rip. Downside of doing daily art. But I wanna keep up with it for as long as I can, even if I don’t end up doing the whole month.
