one of bpal's yule fragrances for this year is based around the concept of 'what if a little porcelain clown doll had a doll of its very own' & I can't tell you how much I'm obsessed with the idea

the BG3 perfumes from Mad Labs Studios arrived & they are SO nice. I've been wearing the Wyll one since this morning & it's this really lovely smoky dark patchouli, I'm Obsessed. I don't really have an idea of what mahogany smells like but I think that's what I'm picking up on that's making the whole fragrance smell heavier than the patchoulis I'm used to. There's a really lovely groundedness to it!

I'm going to try the Astarion one tomorrow but in the bottle it's...prettier? smelling than I thought it would be. It isn't delicate, but it is lighter somehow than I expected. All the different notes are really blended together. It's like, dark & sweet & smooth.

Both of them are really sexy & really comforting scents. I get what people mean when I see them on perfume forums like 'brb gonna go find a man to slather this all over' HAHA. I shall be content slathering them on myself instead

#the Astarion one sold out immediately of course LMFAO #but the Wyll one is a romantic chypre & Gale's has CLARY SAGE #i literally was saying to Max yesterday that if i could smell like a specific scent all the time it would b clary sage #Halsin's seems like a more conventional woodsy masculine fragrance but it has CEDAR...YUM #Minthara's is intriguing but i do not like her LOL #i need a perfumes tag #DaFoppishDandy #there we go!#dial p for post

the Astarion fragrance is...weird (?) on me... yesterday I could smell pretty much all of the listed notes while it was in the bottle but now all I'm getting in the bottle or on me is rosemary & the alcohol from the brandy with none of the syrupiness. There's a faint sweet herbiness coming from somewhere but it's mostly sharp & a little medicinal. It isn't bad imo but I might be a little disappointed? The way it smelled yesterday was like giving somebody wearing velvet a really good hug, like very claret-colored & soft. I really loved that. I'm not sure what's going on with it now! It might be reacting with one or another lotion or soap on my skin or maybe it just needs to settle. I'm crossing my fingers it'll smell like that again lol 🤞

#also when i applied it to my wrist it made my right wrist & ONLY my right wrist smell like cigarettes #& not the kind of cigarette smell that i actually like #WEIRD!!!#we'll see how this evolves i guess #DaFoppishDandy #dial p for post

nice counterpoints to deeply annoying name change stuff: pizza place in front of tattoo studio sells slices for reasonable prices so I'll be able to eat lots of tasty carbs after my tattoo on Thursday AND my sample of Bull's Blood came with a free one of Imaginary Authors' waffle cone fragrance & the package ambiently smells GREAT with them combined. Wild!!

nice news is that my Jasmine & Narcissus from Nemat arrived a few days ago & both of them are LOVELY. The Narcissus blooms a lot on me already! I've been wearing the Jasmine a little more/over the past day bcuz it's really dreamy & soothing. Very excited to see what they're like in warmer weather!
