Training the Squire.

She took a certain swordtok channel talking about dual daggers as a bad weapon choice as a challenge.

This was a clip from her first time fencing using two daggers against me with my greatsword.

Somehow, after multiple attempts, she got the angle of the parry just right, and parried my sword, while stabbing me in the armpit.

Later, she managed this...

And a few other plays in which she hooked my sword with her off-hand dagger, before stabbing me.

She's got a lot more to work on, but she's determined to make "dual dagger combat" viable for the girlies.

What sort of medieval weapons relied on pure agility?

Agility played a part when using most weapons; armour might stop a blow but it was even better to dodge the blow entirely.

However, the answer to your question is (at a guess) knives and daggers. They were worn as part of daily attire which very seldom featured any armour *, so Not Getting Hit was even more important.

* There were some forms of concealed armour such as brigandines, jacks-of-plate etc. (jack = jacket), but IMO those would only be daily attire for people already expecting trouble, either a straightforward fight or an assassin's blade.

Anyone else would need to rely on agility, skill and, given the nature of knife / dagger fighting, a large helping of luck.

A small solo drill to work some basic mechanics in.

Also if you’re bored and want to exercise daggers can be great as they don’t take too much space and you can use a bunch of regular household items as solo drill simulators(and even rolled up newspapers can be used as ok sparring simulators if you happen to have a sparring buddy at home since we’re supposed to be self-isolating).
