Hatred the First: Summer
by the Affliction
A red and crippling rash of Summer spreads Its pustules rise on Springtime's petal skin Its sunbeat bakes her, breaks her temper in Its bonfire burns the blankets where she bled They turn the cooling stone that rests her head To oven-brick, and air that shimmers thin A red and rising fever, Summer spreads And digs its filthy nails into her skin She dreams of hollow halls, where rest the dead Of Kore, cast aside, of Hades' sin And cherry-petals choke amid the din Of Notos' laughter, lingering, that led The red-raw lips of Summer here, to spread On shaking and forsaken Springtime's skin
(a poem belonging to one of my selves! I find it unsettling and creepy. He likes it, though.)
I've fiiiiinally gotten around to photographing the rondels/besagews I made. I'm still really happy with how they turned out, and they are ready to go find new homes!
You can find them on the warclad etsy. More things to come later!
My rondel for this week's GOetry. The theme is resist.
The Guardian
I'm not fighting in any war
I'd rather, honestly, fall from Grace
-Oh, quartermaster, don't make that face-
Than shedding innocent blood and gore
It's the end of times She calls for
The Reaper mowing the human race
I'm not fighting in any war
I'd rather, honestly, fall from Grace
I'm the guardian, that is my core
Don't be fooled by my gentle pace
I refuse to abandon my place
I shall follow orders nevermore
I'm not fighting in any war.
A rondel written for tumblr GOetry Monday. The theme was resist, which was my favourite prompt ever. Aziraphale refuses to go to war.

Another blade from my blade bucket list, triangle shaped rondel blade. Really interesting one to forge!

Babes I don't think he's going to grow into it the way you think
