Together Again, plus one.
There are some things, you never plan for. Was a surprise marriage one of them? No, but did it make her happy? Yes, yes it did. The blessings she had realized were there. This one came out of the blue for her, and right out of left field. Even with the problems they had. But she finally saw what he was saying all this time, did she fully like it? She couldn't really respond to it as she looked at the mirror before her. She had chosen a nice cream colored sundress that literally fit her, but left all the room to flow around.
They had gotten back together, and soon she was walking out of the apartment and locking the door behind her. She was off to meet Vanthoris, a bright smile across her face that no one could seem to take from her. They didn’t need a big celebration, or it seemed want it. Their plan, find a person to officiate their binding. Just what was needed, nothing fancy. Simple, nothing showing of stations or wealth. In truth, she was marrying her best friend. The father of their child, and the person she would kill someone over if they harmed him.
Eight months ago, their child had been accidentally conceived. Before then, did she think over a year ago, she would fall in love with the man she picked up off the street? No she didn’t, but she did. She saw something inside of him, in the moments she could find of peace and tranquility. She had also hurt him, a lot of times, never asked questions. But yet.. he forgave her. Now she wanted to support him, in any way she could, while allowing him to be himself.
Did she think he would ask her again? Not really, but he did. One thing she had promised to herself, she had done. She waited, it had been a gamble. She almost lost this gamble, with her own frustrations. On one hand he could have found another, and soon left her after the child was born. In the other, he had done what she had thought he would do, he came back. Now she wanted to make sure, no matter what. He felt safe, those doors were open, she wasn’t going to force them shut.
Though she stopped as she saw Vanthoris at their meeting spot, a bright smile spread over her features. Soon hurrying in the most careful of shuffles, her hand reached out to take his. Her thoughts now, were working alongside him, as they cared for their son, and to work on their future. Glancing up at him she couldn’t even describe how happy he made her, though in truth. She hoped it never stopped. She was sure there was going to be shock and suprise from others, as she knew . People would be confused and suprised all the same, but she knew the ones that mattered would stay. The others well, they really were not friends. Looking up at Vanthoris’s face as she smiled. Yep she had made the right choice, “Ready?” she asked softly a small nervous sound.
