It just baffles me how people can sit down and type out defense of systems that literally cause people to STARVE TO DEATH, in the name of archaic, almost STONE AGE "survival of the fittest" bullshit ideals, and then UNIRONICALLY pretend to be the morally superior, "civilized" side of the argument. Like, do you think any of these people ever wake up one morning and realize "Holy shit, I'm the villain from a Saturday morning cartoon from the fucking 90's"?

I know! I have no idea how they can see labor exploitation in factories overseas due to there being no minimum wage or laws regulating working conditions, or learn about the horrors of the industrial revolution and how without mass strikes we wouldn’t even have an 8 hour workday, mandated breaks or minimum wage or any kind of protections, and yet still think we don’t need these laws. It boggles the mind.

How did we trypophobics get dragged into this mess? I've never seen anyone else with trypophobia abusing the word "triggered". What is this person talking about? Have you seen this?

I don’t even know. But it’s typical of people like that to throw ppl with mental illness under the bus and minimize their symptoms. It’s like their #1 favorite thing to do.

I recently started a D&D campaign playing as a Dragonborn version of one of my Elorian characters Obsidian. Here’s the process of me drawing him for the first time today.

Actually, as I recall, there is a type of changeling myth where a child is replaced with a changeling, who then feeds on the blood of the human parents while they're asleep, though I did hear that a LONG time ago, so I'm not sure the source of that variety of changeling. Even so, the original vampire motif was still SOMEWHAT correct under that kind of myth. ^^

Ahhhhhh, I see. And that also means that even here, in a way, the phosphoric acid is acting as an anti-nausea agent as well. That amuses me for some reason. ^^ BTW, completely off topic, but your blog looks a little bare now without the background.

That’s true, holy shit, I didn’t even think of that. Another thing about healthy/unhealthy eating: these corporations are so sneaky with how they produce our food. It’s a struggle to eat healthy sometimes because they name unhealthy ingredients misleading things, advertise in misleading ways, and put additives into our food to mask the unhealthy qualities or make it taste better, etc.

I didn't know phosphoric acid was bad for you. It's one of the main ingredients in an old medicine I used to take to settle nausea. Saved me from many an unpleasant trip to the bucket. Are you sure?

I didn’t say that phosphoric acid on its own is bad for you. But the phosphoric acid in coca-cola masks how sweet the soda is. If it weren’t for the phosphoric acid, you’d literally vomit from how sweet the soda is. Further, the phosphoric acid in combination with the sugar and caffeine in the soda creates a temporary caffeine/sugar high and a diuretic effect (i.e. makes you pee immediately) that has a dramatic impact on your system. I think it’s the combination of the incredibly high dose of sugar, caffeine and phosphoric acid altogether that is unhealthy. See here.

The problem I, at least, have with the article is that she comes off as essentially demanding the silence and cessation of all social interaction between players of the game, or at least between men and women, on the off chance that that woman might be her or someone like her. But more than that, she's just mean spirited. There's expressing discomfort, and then there's saying that all gamers and nerds SHOULD have social anxiety, and should stay indoors like they're diseased.

I think that’s twisting her words. I don’t think someone our age would play Pokemon Go unless they were a nerd. She’s obviously a nerd and likes pokemon–her boyfriend even thinks she’s a nerd. I think she was being tongue in cheek at the end, i.e. sarcastic. You’d have to ignore the whole context of what she’s saying and the fact she too is a nerd to miss the point of what she’s saying at the end. 

I also don’t see her saying anywhere in the article to completely cease interaction. I think she’s more asking men to be more sensitive to the problem of women being berated by men publicly. In the social context we live in today, men should be more aware and careful when they interact with women they don’t know in public spaces. That doesn’t mean cease all contact, but it does mean don’t follow a woman when she ceases talking to you or keep being persistent when she has body language that indicates discomfort.
