UNFORTUNATE CIRCUMSTANCE.
DND session ended pretty heavy. We thought we had killed the big bad of this fight, I put my axe through his head and he stopped moving, so we were quickly trying to stabilise NPC’s and heal wounds. I’m usually the last to get healed up as the zealot barb of the party. Which was fine, but I turned my back on the big bad and uh... he wasn’t fully dead yet. Turns out we needed to burn his body.
Well he wasn’t very happy with me. And I was at less then a quarter of my health. He absolutely demolished me, as my DM put it:
“He gets you in the back with a slash of his scythe before that blade comes through your body and out the front, and he wrenches that thing upwards, cutting you straight up through the heart”
So uh... hm. Yeah that was fun. Through some VERY VERY LUCKY rolls on my part and both of our teams medical experts they managed to BARELY save my life. But we had to end the session there because my DM very realistically told me that “the medical repercussions of having your heart cut in half and the extent of damage Dagul took in this fight is something I’m going to have to think about because it’s going to be pretty severe”
SO THAT’S EXTRA FUN. We’ll have to see what that means next week... But I decided to make it a little more dramatic by adding something that he said to his wife before leaving to go to this fight at the bottom for that extra painful flare.
