Guruzo has taken up work as an mechanic. He strove to be the best he could possibly be in school and applied himself harder than any of his siblings. His success has paid off and he now owns his own auto repair shop and works on ideas for inventions on the side, though nothing has come of his ideas.
Dagur ended up joining the military right out of high school. He left behind a girl he was madly in love with and they promised to stay together even though he was so far away, but one day the letters stop coming and poor Dagur discovered that his girlfriend left him for another man. He turns to drinking soon after as a way to cope with what he saw in the war and to deal with the lose of his beloved girlfriend.
Sahria becomes a scientist and develops a deep interest in astronogy. She wants to know what else could be lurking out in the universe for humans to discover and is eager to find out what those things are.
While it's a common stereotype for Stormcloaks to be a bit racist, Dagur would not be counted among the overtly racist ones. He has no strong opinions on most of the races of men, though he may be slightly predisposed to disliking Bretons, partially because of the reachmen, and partially because nearly every one he's met has been a supporter of the Empire and caused him some sort of grief over it. (Ironically he has not had this problem with Imperials who in his experience tend to mind their own damn business.)
He is pretty open to Argonians, due in part to his brother. It's actually been trained into him to grit his teeth when he hears people use the term "lizard" to refer to an Argonian, taking it as almost an insult to his family. He could care less about the Khajiit but secretly finds their accents annoying and sometimes makes a habit of mocking them in private.
Most surprisingly, Dagur does not hold most elves in contempt as is the stereotype for his kind. In fact, he has a bit of a soft spot for Bosmer womer as a whole. However being the ignorant Nord as he is, he still may use terms such a grey-skin without realizing the racist implications of such a word. He does however distrust all Altmer, no matter what their background or who they are. He can't help but associate each one with the Thalmor and thus he will almost always be stand offish towards them, might even throw in the word "piss-skin" in somewhere if he's really feeling threatened.
Regarding halfbreeds or other races, Dagur couldn't care less as long as they don't talk to him like some haughty "Superior-bred" whatever the fuck they are.
Dagur and Guruzo did not like bows in the slightest, finding them to be large and clumsy to hold and shoot. When they enlisted in the Dawnguard and discovered the luxury of the crossbow the two were relieved. The haven't shot a bow since.
Chaotic Neutral- A chaotic neutral character follows his whims. He is an individualist first and last. He values his own liberty but doesn’t strive to protect others’ freedom. He avoids authority, resents restrictions, and challenges traditions. A chaotic neutral character does not intentionally disrupt organizations as part of a campaign of anarchy. To do so, he would have to be motivated either by good (and a desire to liberate others) or evil (and a desire to make those different from himself suffer). A chaotic neutral character may be unpredictable, but his behavior is not totally random. He is not as likely to jump off a bridge as to cross it. Chaotic neutral is the best alignment you can be because it represents true freedom from both society’s restrictions and a do-gooder’s zeal. However, chaotic neutral can be a dangerous alignment when it seeks to eliminate all authority, harmony, and order in society.
((Here's a drabble about Guruzo and Dagur's first encounter with vampires.))
The cavern was cold and dark and water could be heard dripping from a stalactite upon the roof of the cave. There was nothing but the light of a torch lighting the way as the two brother's continued onward through the cave. It had been hours since their sister had gone missing. She had gone off to look for ingredients to add to the meal she would be preparing this evening. She was going to add some mushrooms to give her beef stew some extra flavor, but the task normally only took a half an hour and Elin had been gone for nearly two hours already. As such, Dagur and Guruzo went to investigate armed with only a torch and a few swords.
The two boys continued to navigate the cave looking around every nook and cranny. They would call out her name but there would be nothing to accompany their calls but the echo of the cave walls mimicking their cries. The brothers began to grow worried as they came farther and farther into the cave. Why in Oblivion would Elin travel this far into a cave by herself? Who knew what sort of things were crawling about in a cave like this?
The boys continued farther into the cave until they began to hear the sound of footsteps just ahead of them. The two boys looked at each other and quickly scurried to the side of the wall hoping they hadn't created too much noise. Dagur tried to hide the torch he held so that the light wouldn't shine eventually throwing it behind a rock. The torch left an eerie shadow in the cave illuminating small portions of the cave ahead.
The light began to shine upon a tall figure as he began to walk by. An Altmer, but not a typical Altmer. This altmer's eyes shown brightly in the dimness of the cave like embers from a fire. He looked around noticing the strange torch on the ground. How odd, there hadn't been any others in the cave, had there? Where could the torch have come from.
However, the Altmer gave a shrug deciding not to pay any attention to it. It was likely another of his clumsy associates. He continued on down his path before his footsteps began to fade away.
With a sigh of relief, Dagur hurried towards the torch and picked it up off the ground and the two continued through the cave. After a ways of walking, the two noticed that a strange light had begun to filter into the cave around a corner, peeking around the corner, the two noticed that there was a wide opening just down the hall. The opening was well lit with torches which surrounded a long table. that was set with elegant tableware.
Seated at the table were at least seven folks of mixed races. Although it consisted largely of Dunmer and Nords, there was a Bosmer, a Breton, and the Altmer from before. Each of them had the same piercing bright eyes of the Altmer they had met earlier, the same bright red eyes.
The group appeared to be in good spirits, enjoying a fine chat about all sorts of things that the two brothers couldn't seem to to understand. However, All the commotion ended when one of the Dunmer sitting at the head of the table stood with a goblet in hand, She raised the goblet with a smirk and began to address the group.
"I thank you all for coming to our feast. Today we have a rather fine specimen with us," she said with a smirk motioning with her free hand. Upon motioning two strange clad in helmets that concealed their faces arrived holding a bound and tied girl. She squirmed and cried in agony as tears rolled down her face. She wasn't sure what was going to happen, but she was frightened.
Upon seeing the girl Dagur and Guruzo's jaw dropped. They knew exactly who it was. It was Elin, their missing sister. The two stood in horror as the watched her be pushed along against her will and then watched as she was set upon the table and carefully tied down by the two unidentifiable figures. This was a nightmare, watching their beloved sister be subjugated by these monsters as she cried out for her life.
The Dunmer grinned watching her feast being placed into position. she raised her goblet and with a proud smirk began to proclaim, "Let the feast begi--"
She stopped mid sentence as the sound of angry screams sounded from outside the hall. Dagur and Guruzo had seen enough. dropping the torch in the hall, the two boys charged headlong into the chamber with swords raised.
The Dunmer at the head of the table let out a hiss, and drew a dagger, "Kill them! They are ruining our feast!"
the other vampires rose from their seats preparing themselves for conflict. they charged the two attackers. Dagur and Guruzo responded to them in quick time, engaging in combat with several of the bloodthirsty monsters. Guruzo had quickly in capactated one with a well timed and deep slash. Dagur found himself crossing swords with one as he felt his energy being deprived by the group who has begun to use their blood drain spell on him. In a fit of rage Dagur swung his blade furiously cleaving the creatures in half with a mighty and forceful swing. Guruzo had managed to deal with the remaining vampires that had him surrounded as well with some quick sword work.
With the vampires slain there was only one that remained, the vampire at the head of the table. Panting from exhaustion, Guruzo and Dagur began to close in on the last vampire who had begun to back away from the two as they came closer and closer.
However, in a daring move, the vampire snapped her fingers and disappeared reappearing on top of the table standing next to their sister who remained tied to the table. With a few quick cuts with her dagger, she free the girl and gripped her by the shoulders holding her near her.
"Now, now, don't be so quick to action my dears," she replied with a smirk looking over the two boys as she toyed with their sister in her arms.
Dagur and Guruzo sneered at the womer as she held her sister. The thought of what she could do to her was, horrifying, and this womer was begging for death as it was.
"Don't you dare hurt her," Guruzo snarled at the Dunmer, holding back only because he knew acting would compromise his sister's position.
The vampire gave the two boys a smirk, "Oh, but why would I hurt this precious girl?" she replied with a malevolent chuckle before turning to the girl, "You seem to forget, that she came of here of her own volition."
Dagur and Guruzo stood shocked for a moment, "Whadda y' mean she came here on her own? You're lyin'!"
The vampire gave snickered at the Nord's rage as she began to stroke Elin, who still trembled fearfully, "Oh you foolish men. She did in fact come to me. She came to me and now she is my Thrall, and will obey my every command," she said with a smirk as she released the girl from her grasp. Elin stood up with her back arched. Her face was emotionless and her eyes were glassed over and lifeless. The vampire leaned over down to her level and whispered in her ear into her ear, "Now my dear, take care of these pesky men. They've been proving to be a thorn in my side for too long."
Elin blinked and then slowly looked up at the vampire with her same blank expression.
"Yes... my lady," she replied before drawing a dagger of her own and lunging at her brothers. With another snicker, the vampire snickered and disappeared from sight, leaving Elin to deal with her siblings on her own.
Guruzo and Dagur barely dodged Elin's attack and it only took another moment for Elin to lash out once again with another swing of the dagger, trying desperately to catch Guruzo by the neck. Guruzo leaps out of the way trying not to be caught by her but also not wanting to draw a weapon upon her.
She then takes a swipe at Dagur, nicking his shoulder and causing him to bleed slightly she then tackles him with her shoulder and pinned him to the ground him to the ground beginning to press the dagger to his neck. Dagur's eyes opened wide with fear as he looked up at his beloved sister. The girl he had played with in his childhood. The girl who was always there to prepare a wonderful meal when the times had grown tough. Who would have thought that same girl would be killing the very family she so loved.
A tear fell down Dagur's face as the realization of the horror came over him. He looked over at Guruzo who stood in fear as he held his word outward. There was only one way out... Dagur didn't like the idea of it, but it had to be done.
"Guruzo... Kill her... now."
Guruzo's eyes widened hearing the words come from Dagur's mouth. How could he say such a thing? This was their sister! Their beloved sister, a member of their family. How could he possibly ask him that?
Dagur sneered as he felt the blade press closer against his neck, "What are you waiting for?! Kill her before she kills me!"
Guruzo closed his eyes and looked away. He couldn't bare the thought of it. But... what else could he do? His brother was in a bind and Elin was on top of him. He remembered those cold eyes she had, how they stared at him with an utter lack of compassion. That wasn't his sister there. It couldn't be.
Guruzo sighed seeing no other choices. It was a matter of saving his brother or losing two siblings. This was one of the hardest things he had to do nut it was all he could do. With tears streaming down his face Guruzo charged forward, thrusting his sword through Elin's abdomen with a pained cry.
All at once, Elin's body grew lifeless. What little sparks of life were left where snuffed out with a single stroke of the blade. The dagger she used fell to the ground and she huddled over falling to the ground just below her pinned brother.
Guruzo extracted the sword from her stomach letting her rest finally, before he threw the sword to the side of the cavern. he dropped to his knees and began to sob over his fallen sister. Her she lied, slain by his hand. The guilt was overbearing.he fell to the ground as tears streamed down his face.
"Elin... I'm sorry. Please forgive me..." he sobbed.
Dagur had managed to worm his way out dumbfounded by what had happened. The scenario was awful. His sister slain, by his own brother to save him. He wasn't sure how to feel himself. Conflicted, torn and upset, Dagur sat beside Guruzo's side as a tear fell down his face as well.
"'Ruzo... Don't you dare blame yourself... You did what you had to," he said placing a hand on his shoulder.
his words fell on deaf ears though. Guruzo was overcome with guilt. His own sister had been slain by his hand, because of those damn creatures. They took an innocent girl and ruined her purity. The notion was angering and Guruzo's clenched his hands into fists.
"I'm going to make them pay, Dagur... I'm going to make them pay for what they've done..."
Dagur looked down at the body of his sister who laid upon the ground beside him, "...We're going to make them pay, brother... They'll get what's coming to them. For Elin, and for the other families they've torn apart..."
Guruzo nodded in reply as they held each other. In that moment, they had a goal set out before them. The came to the conclusion that day, that no family would suffer as they did. They would wipe out the vampire menace so that no one was forced to do they things they had done, and so that peace could return to Tamriel once more.
Beneath the tough exterior and the confident attitude, Dagur has a strong feeling of self-loathing. This likely stems from the incidents involving the deaths of his sister and brother. In truth, Dagur finds it near impossible to get these things and let them be. All of his life, he put so much weight on protecting the people he cared for and to imagine the two of them dying without anyone to save them fills Dagur with dread and guilt.
This carries into everything he does and he constantly finds himself beating himself up for the things he can’t do or fails to do in private. Dagur’s greatest fear is that he will allow a comrade or cares about to die because of his own failure.
Dagur will only sing in two conditions - when getting washed and when drunk. He knows he is not a great singer but sometimes, you just need to belt out a song without a scant regard for anyone else's ears.
((Given that Dagur doesn't drink anymore, he must not sing too much xD
