Just thought I’d take a moment to shout out to all of my warriors who are dealing with depression and anxiety even before the lockdown. For those among us, we have not suffered so much more than others simply because our physiological ability to handle stressors is ever-present. Meaning? We’re used to this shit. Welcome to the mind of the struggles of mental health. To the rest of the world, this journey is a rough one, but the terrain we know well. Let’s keep that in mind for those who normally don’t struggle with these things. They are the ones who may be having a hard time right now. We can all be better, braver, stronger with one decision at a time. Reach out to your friends. Let them know you’re thinking of them. It’s a #flashbackfriday post to around 3 weeks ago when I first revealed this #dahladay at the beginning of the lockdown- er, I mean self-quarantine. 🙊🤷🏻‍♀️I thought it fitting to circle back around as we near the end of this weird period in earth’s history. I’m personally on day 28, how about you? I received word yesterday of when my day job will be opening back up. I’ve got one more week to get my life together, then your corporate neighborhood coffee shop will be open for operation, but in a limited capacity. A new normal? One thing is for sure, nothing will ever go back to the way it was, and that’s great news! How much longer do you have? Do you know the plans at your job for getting back to work? This #dahladay is based off of an actual quote that the #POTUS jokingly predicted that we would say one day and boy, do I hear people saying it these days. 🙊🖤🔥Not to make my page political (anyone who follows me knows I don’t do that on this platform) but when the evidence gets overwhelming that we have a guy presiding over our country that has proven himself as someone you can trust, literally with your life? Well, something needs to be said for that. I’ve always been of the boat that since the government essentially works for -us- (we, the people) that open transparency is absolutely critical. Too much can slip through dark, cloudy tunnels, and they have- quite a bit over the years. But now enter our current POTUS ... We haven’t had this kind of transparency in a long time. We haven’t had this kind of accountability or leadership in a long time. If you’re awake, you’ll begin to see it, too (if you haven’t already). No, I can assure you this is not a political post. It is a spiritual one. 🔥🖤💫 I challenge us today, to break past our pre-conceived judgements that many have forced down our throats about who this man is and what he stands for... and let his actions speak for himself. That’s a skill in life. It’s called ✊🏼Critical Thinking✊🏼.
