when compared between the two of them, it'd be crystal clear that both boys were very different from one another in terms of their personalities. which was only natural, seeing as how they've both been brought up in totally different parenting styles. oliver was bright and considerate, whereas daiki was uncaring and unsympathetic. perhaps the saying of 'opposite attracts' applies to these two as they have a very good friendship. not to mention, only when it came to oliver and soren, does daiki show a more...humane side of himself. one that is rarely ever seen in the goto household.
with halloween just around the corner and also only being at eleven, daiki had thought of many ways on giving his beloved friend a surprise. so in the most unpredictable and unlikely way, daiki had prepared a gift, and deep down inside, daiki actually felt good about himself and what he was doing. something, which again, that rarely happens as all daiki knew was to be selfish and cold when dealing with other people. but oli wasn't just "other people", he was rather special.
"here," daiki gives a big square box that was wrapped in pumpkin wrapping paper. it even had a nice red ribbon on top. "this is for you," daiki was beaming at this point. it's a little weird to be giving gifts for halloween but the young heir just wanted to do something nice for a change. "there's halloween cookies, pumpkin candies and candles. you can share them with your dad or something," daiki says with careful eyes. he was assessing and observing what oliver's reaction would be. truthfully speaking, it was a nice surprise...was it not?
