Idun could never imagine a life without him. She was ready to be just the friend and see him marry someone that was not her, as long as it meant they would not be apart but with time, she became greedy. As a princess, such behavior was not tolerated, perhaps even more reason to keep it to herself, as well as the feelings for the sun god. But on earth, Idun came to the conclusion that if she ever found him again, she would not hide behind a mask of royal expectations or her father’s demands, she would act upon her feelings.
And now that she finally did, everything fell into place. Even Fenrir met someone he could hold dear, which only encouraged the princess even further to seek out an unknown but also exciting future. Just as unknown to her as the request of the wolf to join him on a stroll, he would not tell the woman where they were going. And still, Idun left the comfort of her home, as long as it kept her mind from running about Horus all day long. Indeed, things were going well between them but lately, he seemed a little out of it, nervous and avoided her. She could not imagine a proposal of any sorts, though his antics could make you think of it. No, that could not be.
Only when Fenrir left them alone on the cloud again, she fully grasped the situation yet the traumatized part of Idun, the one that saw him vanish from her grip, told her this was a dream and she would wake up soon. She did not want to wake up. Not without Horus. “Dear?” the blonde called out to him, approaching with small steps as she studied the man’s features. After all these years, he was ( and would always be ) the most endearing being to her. “Fenrir brought me here, is something wrong?”
truthfully speaking, that was not the first expression or the first thing he’d thought she would say to him. the setting was marvelous! the planning and execution (thanks to fenrir) had gone smoothly. was he missing something else? the sky god couldn’t think of anything that could’ve put the feeling of worry on idun’s face but somehow it did. the male’s heart sank for a moment, but he doesn’t allow it to get to himself. he had put way too much effort in this to let a slight miscalculation on his part to ruin everything. horus wanted it to be perfect as this period of time would be the most precious memory to the both of them.
the sky god offers a calm smile in return, both arms stretching out to hold his woman. she looked beautiful and horus couldn’t help but stare. “why would anything be wrong?” he chuckled at her question, tapping her nose once to relief any sort of stress that the woman may be feeling. “i know he brought you here because he’s helping me out with something.”
“he made sure to keep your schedule tonight free as it’s a rather special night for us,” horus keeps it vague, knowing full well that the goddess would be smart enough to put the pieces together. on cue, the breeze blew softly, like a gentle caress on the head. the clouds parted ways, allowing the moon to shine down upon them, creating the illusion that their skins were glowing like a gem. under this light, it was easy to see how much devotion horus had in his eyes. he had the upmost admiration, fondness and love towards this very goddess standing before him. any woman would be jealous and luckily for idun, horus had no intentions on leaving and only death would be able to part them. not even the mighty odin can stop him for what he was about to do.
“my love,” horus says lovingly, kissing her on the cheek before he stands proudly before her. the male didn’t get on one knee as he believed that they were equals. not one is better than the other as neither of them would be able to live without each other. “you have brought me so much happiness in this life and i thank the universe that we have been able to reunite. i wish for nothing more than to stay by your side for eternity. would you let me be your husband?” horus proposes with the ring.
