The Revoltech 1967 Gamera figure cutting loose!
This was one of the items I was lucky enough to purchase when I visited the Daiei Studios gift shop last summer.
That’s an SHMonsterarts Camera 1996 behind him.

From inside the Daiei Studio’s gift shop: a wonderful color shot of one of my favorite films , “Yokai Monsters: Spook Warfare,” and its villain, Daimon, one of my favorite Japanese movie monsters.
Daiei Studios produced three films in the “Yokai Monsters” series (”Along with Ghosts,” “100 Monsters,” and “Spook Warfare”) during the same time they made the Dai Maijin films. These are well worth looking up and watching, especially for any fans of Japanese folklore.

From inside the Daiei Studio’s gift shop: a large Gamera statue on display. Unfortunately, it was not for sale. Not that it would’ve fit in my luggage, and I’m sure I’d have to sell a kidney or to in order to afford to ship it home.

From inside the Daiei Studio’s gift shop: A nice Dai Maijin display. Unfortunately, none of these pieces were for sale. They sure would’ve looked better on my shelves at home.
