As I mentioned in prior posts, I love the Godzilla Ultima design and have waited forever to get my hands on the SHMA. I like it a lot, and it's probably my favorite MonsterArts. The tail is long as hell, and its tail actually stays on the figure. I love the alternate head, and it has a good presence on my shelf (even with that long-ass tail). It would be nice to see some effect beam by Bandai or a third-party outfit, but that'd be a bitch to engineer, considering it's a series of rings of varying sizes. Love it and happy to own it.

I saw some fan art on tumblr, I can't seem to find it now so I can't credit the artist. If you recognize it or know them please tag and credit them and I will add it in.

I don't know why the art that inspired this hit me so much. The Godzilla movies always had Goji as a good parent. They taught Minya how to be a Godzilla, taught him some lessons I needed to hear when I saw Godzilla's Revenge. It is honestly one of my favorite movies. But if this Godzilla is the descendant of the Godzilla that becomes Kiryu then its a tragic story of a parent that passed too soon, that never had the chance to parent their children or grandchildren and thats heart wrenching. I imagine in this setting Kiryu, given new life by man's technology, goes to Goji, who came to avenge the misuse of his ancestor's remains. But... Rather than fight this young Godzilla, filled with rage and anger is comforted by his ancestor. Being angry and sad and not knowing how to process those emotions I think is something all people go through at some point. If you don't have a parent or you don't have the best parents or even if you do you may not have the mentorship to guide you through those times. I imagine this is what Kiryu would say in this situation.

"You don't need to fight anymore. I am proud of you Son. You don't need to be angry anymore. You can let it go. Youre better than them... Than this... You have nothing to prove to anyone. Be proud my Son. You are a King in my eyes."

Be a good parent. Be a good person. Be good to each other.

Anywho. This was kind of an emotional shot for us.
