"Saiyan Quest: Daikon 5"
A story about a group of Saiyan barbarian warriors
Similar a bit to Teen Titans
Right now, all that I have is that it's set on Planet Vegeta and mostly about these ultraviolent weremonkeys being ultraviolent weremonkeys around the time King Cold begins employing them, and some temporal shenanigans causes the Dragon Team to encounter them at some point, but it might expand a bit more and needs to be fleshed out
I'll stick with Salvamakoto for the art
For it, I decided to repurpose various unnamed or lesser-known Saiyans
Also decided to star "Knife Lady" as Daikon just because she has my absolute favorite Saiyan design (I am not kidding, she really does have "peak Saiyan" look to me) and always felt a little disappointed that this "Saiyanized Blonde Lunch" was a literal background throwaway
Also I am a simp for killer lady fighters. Daikon was intended to be male originally but after reading through the "Yabanverse" fan project, I decided to make it female instead and use some of what the Yabanverse created for its own female Saiyans and see how much of it could work for the standard Saiyans too.
Special thanks to Yuli Ban for the inspiration and added help from the Yabanverse, as he also gave me some ideas for how to write Daikon and the Wargirlz. I realized I actually really like the idea of most Saiyans being spooky, sinister horror monsters and barbarians where the "civilized" type are a minority, and also that they are accidentally a perfected type of the sword-and-sorcery fantasy barbarian archetype.
