Daily Light, Balloons! Hang on guys I’ll try to jump higher!
I’ve been behind the wheel of a car a grand total of three times!
It’s President’s day, no school. Turned off that alarm and hit snooze for once. Most of us anyway.
Time to get in the car. My buds always make sure that I have all my homework, lunch, water bottle, and even extra pencils.
Daily Light #15: Lunch date with Sweetman
I had a lunch date with my husband today. That might be common for other folks, but it's a rarity for us. I teach, which means I don't get a lunch break, at least not one in which I can leave the school and sit down for a meal with someone who isn't a student or a teacher. He works in a city 45 minutes away from our home.
But today, all the Bryants got a holiday for MLK Day and despite having many errands to run and appointments to keep (teachers *always* try to get their medical stuff done on holidays), we ended up both free at noon.
So, we went to Pueblo Viejo, a Mexican restaurant just a few blocks from our house. It's nice enough to feel like a treat without being so nice that it busts the budget completely, perfect for an unexpected lunch date.
It's amazing how a little thing like that can brighten my day. Just some good food and uninterrupted conversation with my Sweetman. Perfect.
