Julian’s afraid of a few things. Heights, dying, disappointment, but there’s one thing that stands above the rest: family. In specifics, family leaving him. Disowning him. Casting him out as the bastard child he is. He grew up with that fear ever since the hushed whispers in the apartment’s hallway at 2am, the odd stares at large family dinners, or the shoe-horning into successful career paths.
Cooking? Don’t know her. Julian hasn’t felt that fear’s deep intensity until the underworld, where his family changed once more. The doctor was at a loss, scrambling with a holed bucket to catch rainwater that was his brothers-in-arms, friends, and someone more.
