This is my Roman Empire. And I don't think I need to elaborate. Chrno Crusade written and illustrated by Daisuke Moriyama is a phenomenal heartbreaking masterwork. Not only is the manga amazing, but the anime is as well. There are few supernatural/dark fantasy series that can touch it in terms of character development. The ending? I've been emotionally changed since I watched the anime like 15 years ago.
