‘do i miss you, daisy?’ lucius repeated in a mere whisper before shaking his head with a short lived laugh. ‘i do. of course i do. i miss you more than the ocean misses its wave.’

‘i miss you more than apple misses sauce‘
As conversation flew between him and the girl beside him, David’s eyes found other things to focus on as most of Daisy’s words went in one ear and out another. He was listening, intently actually, but as soon as his mind deemed something ‘unimportant’ it was thrown out. And then they began to discuss the towns recent events: new faces, bakes sales, and murder. David had nothing of worth to say about any of those subjects really, but as he listened to the girl go on he started to get a devilish thought.
