The bell rang as the last customer left the shop, and the forced neutral expression fell to reveal a very cross Severus Snape. That was the 6th customer in the last hour, and although it was supposed to be a joint shift, it was the 6ths customer that Severus had helped. It seemed all morning, every time a customer came into the shop, Daisy was scurrying off to do Merlin knows what in the back.
Severus had potions to brew, and he was becoming increasingly more annoyed as time went on. There were deadlines approaching for important customers, and while Severus didn’t particularly care about pleasing the clientele, he very much cared about keeping his job and his flat. When Daisy finally reemerged from the back, Severus whipped around to face her, eyes narrowed.
“If you’re trying to hide from someone, just tell me who it is and I will take care of that customer. Otherwise, I expect you to start actually doing your job or I will take it up with the owners.”
