Dajan is a sporty dude so he definitely spends a lot of time watching, practicing or just playing basketball for fun. It’s important to him, so it will mean a lot to him if you actively participate with him. He’s not expecting you to play a full basketball game with him (but if you do bonus points for you), but he loves when you’re there watching him practice, during his games, and even if you don’t like sports he still appreciates you watching with him. No worries if you don’t though because honestly he’s probably yelling at the TV too much to notice if you’re there or not.

Speaking of going to his games, he loves seeing you wear his jacket or jerseys! Or even better if you make some sort of shirt saying something cheesy like “Dajan’s #1 fan” lol his teammates tease him for it but he doesn’t care.

Diner dates are definitely a thing. I could totally see him having a favorite mom and pop’s type restaurant that he likes to go to for a good burger and fries. Maybe a shake shack too. So yes it’s a classic cliche but he loves going to these places with you, you guys eventually become regular customers there and occasionally get a free shake from the owners. They know both your orders by heart now lol. The date usually ends with both of you being way too full for your own good.

Not super big on PDA but he’s always making contact with you in some way. Hand holding, sitting really close to you, an arm around your shoulder, etc. He prefers to save the lovey dovey stuff for private moments but he’s not shy about the fact that he’s with you. 

He is definitely the boyfriend that gives you his hoodie since you keep stealing it anyways lololol. Honestly seeing you wearing his clothes is just cute to him anyways so he doesn’t mind too much, but you CANNOT take his Lakers jersey

Jade

Jade is very passionate about his plants so being with him you probably know a lot of facts about plants for no reason lol. He has his own garden at his house and he lets you help him out. Be careful though because he may freak out just a bit if you water a plant too much. His house is probably covered in plants as well, pots hanging from the ceiling, flowers on the coffee table, cute little succulents on his kitchen counter and sitting in the window. 

With him being so into plants, he really knows how to make a nice looking bouquet of flowers! Every once in a while he shows up to your doorstep with a beautifully arranged bouquet tied together with a ribbon of your favorite color. And with his knowledge of course he shows you how to take care of them so they don’t wither in a week. It’s really cute because he’ll grow flowers specifically for you and he only gives you the ones that are in the best condition. Also expect him to give you a bunch of fresh fruits and veggies to cook with or snack on. He wants to make sure you’re getting your vitamins!

Jade’s dates are always very intimate and private. Of course he enjoys going to movies and things like that with you but he likes to put thought into his dates. Even if it’s something as simple as a picnic in the park. It’s like you guys are in your own little world.

He’s very physically affectionate. I’m not saying he’s going to be eating your face every second of the day but this is just one of his love languages. He likes holding you or being held, he likes when you snuggle up against his side, all of it. If you ever sleep together he’ll have a gorilla grip on you while you cuddle. It takes a lot of work getting out of his arms without waking him up lol

Jade is a very straight to the point man which is a good thing because you’ll never have an issue communicating with him. If he’s upset with you you don’t have to deal with him acting weird around you or trying to avoid the subject because he’ll tell you right then and there.

Dake

Dake can be very romantic and caring once he falls for you. He barely bats an eye at any girl that looks his way anymore. He has a flirty side yes, and most people peg him as this playboy. Which may be true in the beginning but i definitely see him leaving that behind if he cares about you enough

He always shows you the coolest things while at the beach! Little creatures you would have never noticed, different types of shells, random facts about the ocean, etc. He’s super into marine life so he spends a lot of time cleaning up the beach and he’s happy when you help him. Dake seeing people litter is so funny because he’s instantly just like “Mate what the fuck are you doing?” Lmao he’s a pretty laid back dude but if you’re endangering the ocean in any way he’ll definitely get your ass for it

With him living in Australia you guys do have to deal with long distance (unless you live there too ofc) so expect a lot of phone calls, video chats and texts throughout the week. He really misses you when he’s gone so he’ll stay up extra late or wake up super early just to be able to video chat with you. 

“Babe why are you still awake, isn’t it like 3 AM there?”

“I wanted to see your beautiful face before i went to sleep.” Ugh he’s so cute

Okay but imagine the dates though? Scuba diving? Swimming with dolphins? A lot of your dates are probably on water tbh lol that’s where he feels the most at home. But of course your fates outside of the water are just as fun. He prefers more lively dates, like go-karting or something. And then stuffing your faces with food afterwards.

Of all the places for a first date, he chose a nature walk.

It’s not like it was a terriblechoice, the scenery was breathtaking, theday was fine and the picnic he’d made was perfect!

Still, you couldn’t help resenting the choice a little, aswhat you’d originally thought were date-perfect heels were now the bane of yourexistence.

“Are you sure you don’t wantto go back?” Jade asked for umpteenth time, eyeing your uneven gait withconcern. “Or swap shoes for a bit?”

“Swap shoes?” Youraise an eyebrow at him. “Assuming you weremy shoe size, I doubt you’d fare anybetter in these than me.”

“You don’t know that,“ He protested, grinning at you, “Ithink I’d pull those off flawlessly.”

Snorting, you roll your eyes but don’t stop the growingsmile on your face. “You’re an idiot.”

“Says the person wearing heels in a forest.”

Swinging around to deliver a cheeky remark of your own, youfailed to notice the root in your path and land face first on the ground.

Or you would’ve if your date hadn’t caught you at the lastsecond.

You’re quite sure you’re not, the close contact with your long-timecrush sending your mind spinning. His warmth, his smell, all of it made youquite content to hide your face in his shirt until the embarrassment faded but theincreasingly worried calls of your name finally coaxed you to peek up at him.

Your faces were so much closer than you’d imagined, yournoses all but touching as his warm breathfanned over your face. Jade’s gaze mirrored your surprise, his hazel eyesroaming over your face before resting on your lips.

Instinctively you licked your lips, still as you awaited his next action. It seemed as though he lacked the courage, or was simplytoo mesmerised to make thefirst move.

“Jade?” You prodded and that broke his trance, a flushrising to his cheeks as he steps away.

“Ah, sorry.” He scratched his cheek, glancing at you fromthe corner of his eye. “You all right?”

You frown, a little displeased at the sudden space betweenour bodies. Then smile as an idea comes to you.

"I’m fine…” He grins at you, still red-faced, but thegrin is swapped for confusion when you loop your arm in his, beaming up at him.“But I’ll need a little support walking. To make sure I don’t trip again. Youdon’t mind do you?”

 Dajan –

It had been your idea to go to an ice rink for your firstdate, figuring your inexperience with the sport would lead to fun times forall.

Instead, you discovered your boyfriend’s talent wasn’tlimited to basketball.

“C’mon, _____,” Dajan laughed, skating circles around you,“It’s not that hard.”

“Says you.” You replied, hugging the rink’s wall to keepyourself from collapsing.

He chuckles, stopping to offer his hand. “C’mere, I’ll teachyou.”

“By leaving me in the middle of the rink again? No thanks.I’m pretty sure I bruised something making it back to the wall.”

He rolls his eyes before pulling you firmly to him, “C’mon,you baby.”

Reluctantly, you allow him to drag from the wall, whisperinga fond farewell to your only piece of stability.

Very quickly you find another in the form of your boyfriend,who keeps a firm grip on you as he guides you over the ice, offering you praiseand tips as you begin to find your balance.

“Now you’re getting the hang of it.” Dajan praises as youtake your first unassisted skates over the ice.

“I think… I think I’ve got it!” You cheered moments beforeyou toppled over, Dajan lunging to catch you in time.

“Or not.” He laughed, beforepressing a kiss to your forehead. “But at least you look cute doing it.”

You huff, burying your head into his chest - more becauseyou could than from embarrassment – and he tightens his arms around youreactively.

You stood there for a brief moment, ignoring the looks fromthe other skaters and simply enjoying the embrace.

“Hey, you want some hot cocoa?”You look up at him, somewhat confused. Dajan tipped his head to a small café, alittle outside the ice rink.

“Only if you’re treating.” You hum, pulling away to entwineyour hand in his and pulling him towards the rink’s exit, and then almost fallflat on your face again.

“I think I better lead the way.” He laughs, tugging you tohis side.
