Umegen is so special to me because like, it’s not wrong to say that Genya would probably be the first guy ever to not want to date her for just sex or because she’s the prettiest girl in school or whatever, his compliments are always sweet, he calls her pretty, classy, gorgeous. He holds her hand and buys her flowers and gifts without expecting anything in return. And ume just, does not know how to process that. She’s flattered, she feels like an actual school girl for once and not japans top model or whatever. She’s a teenage girl with a boyfriend who appreciates her and she realizes she doesn’t feel pretty in the vain way, she just feels pretty.
