Vintage toy show time!!!!! There's a HUGE event near me that happens twice a year and I'm always very excited to go. Here's what I got today!! Some Schleich horses and LPS kitties, a Dakin dragon, a Snuzzle magnet, a funny sun-damaged furby buddy, a 2005 furby, and a GIANT pound puppy!!!!!

Here's some closeups. Despite having a damaged beak (which is very common), the $30 that I paid for the 2005 furby is a GREAT deal. Then there's the new Dakin dragon sitting next to my purple one- friends now! And there's the giant pound puppy compared to a regular large and small one.

My very first plushie that I remember having was a Dakin Free Willy orca. In childhood he went everywhere with me. As a teenager he was a prominent feature of my bedspread. Then one day I lost him (more details in pinned).

This is not my original Dakin Free Willy orca, but one that I purchased on ebay.

I told myself that I was never going to buy plushies that are exact copies of ones from my childhood because it would just make me sad, and indeed, I am a little sad. Happy (because it's awesome to have some vintage Free Willy merch that I can touch and snuggle), but a little sad (this is not my lumpy worn out To Be Loved Us To Be Changed Willy from my childhood).

the vintage toy show was a big win!! I got a Nosy Bear and a merry-go-round pony, which is what i hoped to find! i also got a Dakin dragon and an LPS cat, and some stickers for my car lol.

i found a 1983 Dakin dragon for $4 at the thrift store, yippee /w\ another special guy for my dragon collection. ill probably call her Lilac or Lavender!
