her  words  stung.      but  his  ego  wasn't  so  easily  shattered.      putting  a  cocky  grin  on  his  face,      he  doesn't  allow  a  moment  to  pass  where  he  looks   deterred.      ❝      i  guess  you  are  not  feeling   happy   to  see  me.     ❞      at  the  moment,      he  had  nothing  on  his  person.      blending  in  with  the  city  streets  the  best  he  could,      this  wasn't  a  dire  situation.      he  knew  her  from  some  criminal  activity;     they  had  been  paid  to  do  some  dirty  work  for  her  affiliation.    

❝     come  on,      we   are   friends.      ❞     a  wink  in  her  direction.      sergei   doesn't  like  to  admit  that  some  women  might  not  have  found  his  antics  appealing.      he  had  a  charm  that  worked  on  the  media;      but  battle  hardened  women  was  another  story.   pointing  to  a  stall  in  the  opposite  direction,      he  says.      ❝      wanted  some  food,     but  i  can't  order.    hah,     they  could  not  understand  my  english.     ❞     accented  enough,     they  likely  didn't  speak  it  to  begin  with.

holding  her  face  steady  with  one  hand,        the  other  works  in  gentle  circular  motions  with  a  brush.     blending  shadow  into  her  crease,      from  red  to  black   -   his  cautious  hand  makes  sure  that  the  colors  don't  turn  muddy.      the  color  story  was  key   between  the  two  of  them,      something  that  made  them  the  perfect  match;     aesthetic  -  wise  or  other.        ❝    close  your  eyes,   ❞      he  mumbles,     uncapping  the  liquid  eyeliner  with  his  teeth.      he  holds  the  lid  there,      focus  purely  on  her  face.      he  could  draw  a  wing  in  a  single  flick  of  the  wrist.      it  had  taken  a  lot  of  practice  to  get  to  his  skill  level,      many  years  of  looking  imperfect   -   it  paid  off  in  the  end.

a  small  fist  curled  up  in  his  own,     he  walks  at  a  slow  pace  for   MOMOKA.      she  is  not  his  own  child,     the  daughter  of  one  of  the  core  member's  of  his  gang.     the  closest  thing  to  a  niece  that  he  had  ever  acquired.    they  were  walking  a  lively  shopping  district,     tucked  into  the  underground  dwelling  of   ikebukuro  station.     different  vendors  with  sweets   &   other  trinkets  littered  their  path.      

holding  the   four  year  old's   other  hand,      YUNO.      she  was  invited  along  with  them  for  their  christmas  endeavors.         SABU   hadn't  selected     just    a  gift  for  the  little  girl,      he  was  taking  her  out   &    buying  her  anything  that  she  set  her  sights  on.     his  gaze  travelled  to  the  dark  -  haired  woman  walking  in  step  with  them.    ❝     if  you  see  anything,      don't  be  shy.     ❞   he  urges.    MOMOKA   wasn't  the  only  one  that  he  had  set  his  sights  on  to  spoil.     she  wasn't  safe  from  him  flaunting  his  buying  power   -   especially  since  he  didn't  have   any   other  clue  what  to  do  for  her  for  the  holiday.

05. placing a cup of tea or coffee in front of them. (yuno)

he  was  so   rarely   company  in  the  space  of  others.      her  apartment  was  considered  mundane  compared  to  his  own;   a  few  staple  pieces  that  showed  her  personality.     the  cup  that  she  places  in  front  of  him  has  a  design  on  it,     something  that  suited  her.   steam  rises  from  it,     a   hot  drink   to  quell  the  raging  storms  outside.      SABU   places  his  hands  on  either  side  of  it,     allowing  the  warmth  to  radiate  through  his  core.      ❝      you're  a   better   host  than  i  would  have  anticipated.      ❞     it's  not  meant  to  be  a  drag,     rather   a  compliment.      she  was  someone  equally  as  antisocial  as  himself;     the  two  of  them  having  issues  welcoming  others  into  their  homes.    

❝     when  was  the  last  time  you  had  someone  here?     ❞     it's  not  meant  to  pry,     just  a  curious  natured  question.        removing  his  face  mask   -     she  had  already  seen  the  damages  before.        he  had  no  issues  showing  off  his  scars  in  order  to  enjoy  a  drink  around  her.        though,      he  would  have  to  take  small,     cautious  sips.

his  head  tends  to  the  side,    her  inquiry  unsurprising.      perhaps,      he  had  been  harsh  in  his  wording.      ❝     they  don't  need  to   look   at  her.     ❞     the   final  say,     he  doesn't  allow  much  slack  when  it  comes  to   MOMOKA.        ❝     a  second  too  long,   and  i  would   gladly   dispose  of  a  man.     ❞      he  doesn't  trust  them.        maybe,     he's  never  been  given  a  reason  to;      they  had  no  reason  to  linger. 

❝     let  me  ask  you  this:      would  you  do  the  same?    ❞     a  flick  of  golden  hues,     he's  staring  right  into  her  eyes  now.      it's  not  a  means  of  judgement,      but  he  wants  her   honest  answer.     it's  not  that  he   expects   her  to  take  responsibility  for  the  young  child,     that's  all  on  his  shoulders;      he  simply  wanted  to  know  if  she  felt  the   same.

sender and receiver speak privately, intimately on a balcony. ( yuno )

there  was  no  one  in  their  space,     just  the  two  of  them.     he  hadn't  come  out  with  the  intentions  of  a  cigarette,     though  it  was  tempting  with  the  cool  air  against  his  skin.      it  was  more  to  escape  the   loud  chatter   on  the  inside  of  the  building,     filling  the  space  entirely.      the  two  of  them  wouldn't  have  been  able  to  find  such  comfortable  silence  without  closing  the  balcony  door   tight.      with  that,     they  were  free  from  the  sounds  of  the  party;     music  was  kept  to  a  low  volume,     but  the  crowd  was  quick  to  make  conversation. 

❝      no,      it's  acceptable.      they  don't  need  me  in  there.     ❞     he  confided,     not  thinking  his  absence  would  make  much  of  a  stir.   those  in  his  confidence  would  continue  to  be   loyal   to  him,     regardless  of  if  he  followed  up  with  them  or  not.      escaping  the  company,      he  was  free  to  listen  to   YUNO'S  WORRIES.      she  could  spill  her  whole  soul  before  him.        ❝     you  might  not  think  you  have  influence,      but  you  do.    ❞     he  reminds  her,      despite  the  situation.      SABU   knew  that  she  wasn't   respected  completely   in  her  position;    it  was  rare  at  times  in  their  line  of  business.   despite  their  disrespect  towards  her  word,      her  emotions  still  had  influence  on  those  around  her.     it  didn't  matter  if  they  were  associated  with  her  group  or  not.   output  was  monitored  deeply  by  those  who  met  with  spokesmen.     they  were  constantly  judged  for  their  every  reaction.

a haunted house attraction mid-season. ( with yuno )

fear  was  a  commodity.      he  didn't   scare   easily,     not  for  cheap  jumpscares  nor  atmosphere  meant  to  make  the  skin  crawl.        comfort  was  found  in  these  scenes,     walking  through  the  maze  of  a  haunted  mansion  with   YUNO'S  HAND   tucked  against  his  own.      it  was  dark   &   they  would  have  lost  one  another  if  not  for  the  contact.      he  doubts  that  she  is  feeling  unease,        she  isn't  the  type  to  shake  or  shiver.      they  stepped  into  a  room,      filled  with  fake  skeletons  seated  around  a  table.     on  the  center,      a  feast  with  cobwebs   &   age  -   old   food.      it  was  meant  to  make  someone  frightened,      the  thought  that  these  souls  had  died  here. 

❝      the   decorations   are  nice.     ❞     he  comments  idly,      taking  his  time  to  walk  through  the  room.      there  is  no  haste  in  his  step.      others  running  through  the  halls  out  of  fear.      he  took  it  as  a  stroll,     ensuring  that  he  took  in  all  of  the  craftsmanship  of  the  sets.        no   need   to  rush  the  haunted  house,      once  they  finished  this  one   -   there  was  a  few  other  attractions  to  admire.        a  bar  outside,     serving  drinks  in  bloodbags.      they  had  plenty  of  time  to  burn  at  the  location.     though,     that  didn't  mean  he  would  rush  their  first  haunted  attraction.       leading  her  around  the  table,     someone  jumped  out  of  one  of  the  kitchen  cabinets     -     attempting  to  make  them  jump.      SABU   didn't  flinch,      as  if  he  had  anticipated  the  scare.        ❝      tacky,     but  what's   halloween   without  a  few  skeletons.      ❞     he  hums,     staring  down  at  the  actor  still  posed  to  fright.

her  fingers  gently  removed  any  knots  from  his  short  locks.      the  last  time  he  had  felt   so   soft  a  touch  …     he  couldn't  recall.      spending  his  latest  with  hardened  criminals;   there  wasn't  much  affection  to  go  around.      though,     he  couldn't  say  that  he  expected  something  as  such  to  come  from   her   of  all  people.     she  spent  time  trying  to  pretend  that  she  didn't  enjoy  his  company,      a   poor  attempt   to  keep  him  at  arm's  length.      now,      he  was  lounging  on  the  couch  inside  her  tokyo  apartment.     he'd  never  been  in  this  part  of  the  world;      he  probably  would  have  never  been,      had  it  not  been  for  meeting   jiro.     they  wouldn't  question  where  he  was.     they  were  his  coworkers,     not  his  parents.      he  was  free  to  spend  his  downtime  as  he  pleased.   which  somehow  …  had  ended  him  here. 

❝      today,   i  am  in   -    busy  area.      someone  try  to  push  me,     i  shove  back.     ❞     tilting  his  head  to  the  side,      sergei   tries  to  catch  her  eyes;      though,     not  disturb  her  touch  either.        ❝      he   almost   fall  over.     so,     he  start  saying  shit  in  japan's  language  to  me.      bold  man.     i  say,      заткнись.      then   -     he  turn  tail,     he  run.   like  the  little  kitten.      ❞      it  was   very   brave  to  allow  him  to  handle  his  own  in  a  city.     especially  with  the  explosive  temper  that  he  had  towards  strangers.        more  often  than  not,      he  was   kind.      the  exception  being  when  someone  pushed  his  buttons.     he  couldn't  stand  being   provoked.
