I just had the most wonderful evening taking my kids out for musubi. We laughed. Joked giggled, danced, wiggled, splashed in mud, played in parks, and stuffed ourselves silly with musubi, waffle fries, and FroYo.
Then I had to take them home because it’s a school night. Imagine my disappointment when setting out in public with my attention away from minding my kiddos and noticing all the stupid drivers, What a downer.
So it got me thinking how bad could it be if I looked up lead content in potable water in the country of origin for the vast majority of this city’s population? The thought was I’m looking for something to explain why there are so many stupid people in cars driving around in the city. I was looking for some thing to take my mind away from blaming a group of people because of where they’re from. I was looking to blame some thing they had no control over because then it would make me feel better about being enraged by their stupid ineptitude behind the wheel.
But I found out both relieved me and made me laugh.
It’s lead. Pure and simple: lead in the water has affected more than 40% of the children in that country and I would assume going back in time that number was historically higher given the number of abjectly stupid adults driving vehicles today.
Lead makes you stupid if you consume it. Just ask the Romans. It’s really stupid & dangerous to drive if you’re that kind of stupid
