what they don't warn you about when you start a long term dnd campaign is how you may play a character for nearly two years without realising that his relationship with his younger sister figure sounds a little too much like the relationship you (the player) have with your actual real life younger sister

another thing that's been positively tormenting me this week (and i do mean "positively", a little torment is good for the soul) is how the 7flakes (our dnd party) are currently on this silly little feywild quest to find the druid's mentor, right? well, just by saying "oh just so you know, time in feywild flows differently, you have no idea When you'll be back in your realm" and saying that they'll roll dice to determine that once we're out in front of us, our dm created (and continues to cultivate) the most hostile work environment for me specifically

i literally can't stop thinking about the madness of too little, yet alone too much time passing. kalef literally has so many people waiting for him to complete his quest and get home, it's already been weeks since he's left in-game and almost two years irl. i fear the idea of kalef missing out on everything happening at home considering the state he left his temple in, having to rebuild trust with his people, and i fear the idea of him coming back unrecognisable, a wholly different person, tainted by outside influences. the anticipation is killing me. the uncertainty is its blade. oh kalef, we're really in it now
