While trying to get more information on that Super Special Damien ending, I bring you a how-to on how to get his bad one (as in, the ending where you end up in a sexy but unhealthy relationship)!
This how-to will definitely contain SPOILERS. You were warned!
This ending is called Damien Fight. Things start off with a rather angry and violent Damien, and he just so happens to catch you in his sights.
The player - in this particular example, Oz - is tasked with trying to find a way out of a sexy punch to the face.
Being a pragmatist is a Smarts option.
Dancing is a Fun option.
The secret to choosing the right option at any given time is knowing which option corresponds to which stat and choosing the one that is higher. In this playthrough, Oz’s Smarts stat was higher than his Fun stat, so we choose the Smarts option and be pragmatic.
Enjoy Liam and Polly jumping out of the bushes to cheer you on.
You later find Damien yelling at a banana.
In an effort to stop his angry shenanigans, you either try to:
Defend the banana’s honor with your Charm, or...
Eat the banana, which is Bold.
Charm is higher than Bold for Oz, so the correct answer this time is to defend the banana’s honor. This prompts Liam and Polly to crawl out of the woodwork to help you out again. (What’s with them being in both of Damien’s secret endings, anyway?)
Damien is super pissed about the whole affair, and he won’t take it quietly (or pacifisticly). He challenges you to a fight on prom night instead of a dance.
From here on, if you try to choose Damien’s table during a Lunch, Damien will scream at you and won’t let you sit down. Feel free to enjoy his rage or stop by the shop to say hi to Valerie.
Additionally, whereas most characters usually have a Date scenario the week of prom, it’s pretty certain Damien doesn’t go for it when he’s angry with you about the whole banana thing.
The last scenario should pop up right before prom. Scott and Vera will run up to ask you about the upcoming fight: one to sell you life insurance, the other for some free tickets to watch.
Thinking quickly, the player tries to think of a way to get one of them to help you learn to fight.
Paying Vera to let you in on her family’s secret combat style is a Money option.
Tricking Scott into helping is a Charm option.
Oz has way more Charm than he does dollar bills this time around, so Scott it is! The good doggo will then teach you a technique he likes to call Punching, and soon Oz is ready to try and survive his prom night!
The final step is to ask Damien to prom - though, to be fair, he invited you first.
You will then proceed to beat the hell out of each other, up until it leads to some making out. From there you can enjoy some violent bathroom sex and a successful Secret Ending!
I’ve answered an ask about this ending before (x), but here’s a more formal version on how to get Damien’s ‘Good’ ending - as in, the ending where the two of you end up in a somewhat healthy, romantic relationship after Prom.
This how-to contains major SPOILERS. Read at your own discretion!
Let me start this how-to with a quick tip: If you’re looking to get the infamous scene of Liam shooting you in the leg (x), you will want your Bold stat to be higher than your Charm stat by the time you get the second scenario!
This ending is called the Hair ending. (Not even ‘Hairstylist’, just ‘Hair’!) The starting scenario to look for is when you and Liam are arguing and Liam want to borrow Damien’s phone to see who is right.
Damien’s not exactly thrilled to be caught looking at hairstyles, and you, the main character, try to figure out how to distract everyone from looking at his phone.
To succeed a scenario, you need to choose the option that corresponds with the highest of the two’s respective stats. For example:
Diverting Polly and Miranda’s attention with money is, unsurprisingly, a Money option.
Turning Damien’s phone into a bird is a Smarts option.
If your Money stat is higher than your Smarts stat, choose the first option. If your Smarts is higher than your Money, choose the second. In this case, Smarts is higher than Money by one point, so the correct choice is to turn the phone into a bird.
For the second scenario, you and Liam are arguing about Naruto and Oscar winners when you catch Damien styling a corpse’s hair.
He finally reveals his true dream: to be a hairstylist and makeup artist!
What is a better training method?
Witness the death (or almost-death) of a loved one. This is a Bold option.
Finding a rival is a Charm option.
Same as before: if your Bold is higher than Charm, choose the first option; if Charm is higher than Bold, choose the second. I highly recommend having Bold higher than Charm by this point if you want to see the wonderful scene of Liam shooting you in the leg.
This time however, Charm was higher. Frenemy it is!
Now Miranda and Polly are in on Damien’s hidden talent...but Damien’s still not content.
The biggest hurdle for Damien to reach his dream is his fathers; he is destined to be the king (or queen, if he so chooses) of Hell. This scenario should show up just before Prom hits, so feel free to do whatever you want until then.
The plan is to convince Damien’s dads that he should be allowed to continue his dream. You have, as always, two options to do so:
The stealth makeover is a Creativity option.
The daggers and blood are a Bold option.
Now, the point of this how-to is to succeed, and I’m sure that is the goal, but I feel the need to mention that failing by using the first option when Bold is higher than Creativity includes a hilarious anecdote from Damien of walking in on his dads having some good ol’ dad sex. This time Creativity was higher though, so it was in fact the choice that worked. No accidental dad sex this time around!
The final step is to ask Damien to the prom. He will be quite pleased.
But the story doesn’t stop there! You stay in love even after prom ends, and you move with Damien to Hell to support his dream. Congratulations to you both!
