As soon as she’d said it, she regretted it. Not because she’d lied - she really did die each time she saw him with those girls- but he wasn’t supposed to know. Not now, not ever.  He was staring in shock at her, as if he didn’t understand why she would say that. Rose could almost faint with relief that he hadn’t caught on yet. But it wouldn’t be long, he wasn’t put in Ravenclaw for nothing.

So she ran. She ran from Scorpius, from those damn girls, from Al who’d be no help whatsoever and she ran from her bloody feelings.

She was never leaving her room again.
