It's a stupid story but I'm going to share it with you guys anyway.
So a few nights ago, my friend dammitjim-imthedoctor and I got to talking about animation and also how hopeless our love lives are, and she, having recently seen Frozen, was gushing about Kristoff, and I was (as ever) gushing about Hiccup, and we were complaining about why can't we just have adorkable Scandinavian men of our own and why don't we just book a flight to Oslo I just left Europe anyway why not hope back on board.... anyway, somehow it devolved into us inventing a character, the Viking Dork Fairy, who bestows Scandinavian dorks upon certain deserving young ladies. Unfortunately, she's a bit disorganized and often ends up sticking them in all the wrong places, so you have to go hunting for them.
So, meet Hilde, the Viking Dork Fairy. She began her work in Viking territory, but ever since the globalization of the past few centuries, she's been working all around the world. Still, she still calls Scandinavia home. (Hiccup Haddock and Kristoff are both special favorites of hers, and some of her best successes.)
Hilde lives in a quiet cottage somewhere in the woodlands of northern Norway (some say she lives right at the crux of the Norwegian/Swedish/Finnish border) and is generally unknown to all. She's tried to petition to be a Guardian before, but the existing five guardians always seem to forget about her and besides, North has told her, she gets more involved with teenagers, not children. Still, Tooth sends her giftbaskets from time to time, she gets a wee bit stalkerish whenever it's time for Jack to do his yearly rounds in her neighborhood, and she will occasionally trek up to North's place, particularly near to the Christmas holiday, when North is extra jolly and gives out extra cookies.
Her constant companion is her steed and friend, Rolf. Rolf is an unusually short moose - not a reindeer, thankyouverymuch - who's grown rather fat due to the fact that Hilde spoils him with sweets. Like North's reindeer, however, Rolf can fly. Unfortunately he forgets the fact so often that he only rarely leaves the ground. He carries Hilde around the world, wherever she needs to go, to look after the dorks and nerds of humanity in a (slightly clumsy) quest to brighten their lives and make them bump into each other so they won't have to go through life thinking they're alone.
I may or may not draw more of them and maybe even comics if I feel up to it someday
