Yeah the hug felt so rushed and not in a desperate “I missed you I love you” kind of way, but like just a hug.. I definitely hyped the hug in my head too... those few seconds in 5.03 seemed even more emotional to me than the reunion ?? But yeah I’ve been trying to read so many peoples viewpoints on here to maybe understand it differently.. I think how it was filmed also factored in to how I perceived it
I agree with you. I loved the hug but it didn’t live up to my expectations, which may be my own fault. So @bellameblake and @johnmurphe loved the hug/moment for all the reasons why the hug is amazing to us shippers in the first place. The staring, the fact that this is the first time they’re really together in 6 years, and, of course, the touching. The way Clarke never fails to tuck her chin into his shoulder, his hand on her waist, the way Bellamy is just holding her and just....they’re just basically touching each other a lot and they loved it, I definitely do too. One thing to mention though, is they didn’t read a lot of the spec. Brooke didn’t know that there was definitely going to be a hug at all because she’s a good bean who stays away from all spoilers (unlike this problematic hoe). Hopefully that gave you a little more insight. I still hope we get more next episode. Any kind of catch up I will take
