Some might think that after 100 years one had forgotten how to put skills to good use after not having use for them for so long, but Tessa found it went very smoothly, having no problem recalling what she had been taught so many years ago. Thank the Angel for muscle memory. She was running on pure adrenaline, fighting against all these demons and she had to admit that this gave satisfaction, causing their temporary downfall.
Her eye fell on a blackhaired Shadowhunter who was about to get slashed by a demon’s claws and yelled to watch out, only to see the claws glide through the Shadowhunter just like that, like he was nothing but a...shadow. Now Tessa might be old, but in all her years there had only been one Shadowhunter who could do that. One who had died exactly 44 years ago.
The only possible explanation was at the same time completely impossible, but how could she be certain it was in impossible in the world she lived in, with warlocks, demons, fae, vampires, etc.
So abandoning her fighting, Tessa just ran over to the Shadowhunter. She had to know, she could not keep fighting and risk not knowing. “James? Jamie?!”
