hey! i normally love caroline but i guess the thing is that people are really frustrated with not how shes speaking about damon (thats extremely justified and expected bc of what he did to her which was inexcusable) but of how shes treating elena bc i know she has a right to hate damon but a lot of people feel like shes just been shaming elena so much since shes become a vampire and they're kinda upset that shes not being the best of a friend right now?? like not supporting her in the person
+ that she loves, like yeah she hates damon but it doesn’t even seem like shes happy that her friend is happy and thats my main issue with her but i don’t hate her i’m just frustrated as of right now with what the show/writers is doing to her
i get your point. i think caroline is really connected with what damon did to her in season 1, and that’s completely comprehensive. in my opinion the writers didn’t explored the fact in season 1/2, when it happened/when caroline realised, and are exploring now that elena is with him, and that dosen’t makes sense, because elena and damon had a relationship (being ‘friends’, whatever) with damon in season 2/3… caroline could had showen it that time.
but i can’t see how caroline is shaming elena. she hates damon so much and is showing it to elena, even when is not the appropriate time. but as she said she was sorry for saying those things to elena when she killed jess, and elena apologized her. and the same way caroline said “the day that i stop telling you the truth is the day when we're no longer best friends. and i hope that day never comes”, as she said, they are friends and she felt sorry for what she said, elena understood and apologized her. some ppl could do the same.
