3. Do you remember the first myth you ever heard? When and how did you find it?

I think the first myth I actively heard and understood at a young age was Icarus and the Sun. I remember seeing it on Between the Lions on PBS when I was in like, what, 2nd grade. They used puppets to tell the story and it was... an interesting look to it? Certainly helped me remember the story. I was very entranced with the story and I was 8 so thinking of how he dove into the sea after not listening to his father kinda scarred me for life.

9. Do you read prayers and hymns during ritual or make them up as you go along?

Both really. I like feeling more prepared as I go in, but if I’m in a hurry, I come up with one on the go, even if it’s not very good. ;;;

18. If space and funds weren’t an issue, what would your altar and/or shrines look like?

I’m going to add another factor to this and say “live with people who are accepting of my religion.” First of all I would actually HAVE shrines. And they would have pictures I drew of them littered around them, and a few statues of my deities as well. Hermes’ shrine would definitely be in the living room while Selene’s would be in my room. Selene would have one on a windowsill and Hermes would have a shrine on his own shelf. I would also try to put small shrines for the collective theoi around the house. Aphrodite would get a shrine in the bathroom while Demeter and Hestia would have a shrine in the kitchen.

My altar would still be in my room because I feel more comfortable in that room of the house and it would probably just have the essential libation pitcher with a fancier cup and a fancier offering plate. That altar would still have statues on them and symbols of all the Olympians. Maybe some Christmas lights too to remind myself “PRAY AND OFFER HERE.” Stuff like that. This would all be in my ideal house as well.

22. Favorite DA2 party combo?

Aveline, Merrill, Anders! This was my party all through my first playthrough. I never felt like outfitting the rest of my companions so I stuck to those three. I think my current fav combo is Merrill, Anders, Varric, because those two need friends, and Varric is a good friend. 

25. Favorite DA:I place?

Okay honesty??? The Vir Dirthara (Shattered Library) in Tresspasser in which I went just full fucking armchair anthropologist. 

Other than that: the atmosphere in The Hissing Wastes is just so… peaceful? Calming? I hate how big the map is but that’s more a Bioware problem, so I forgive it. 

Storm Coast is also very good but mostly because the topography was cool as hell. 

40. A moment/action you regret in-game?

This question is so hard!!!!! 

Hawke brought Bethany and Anders to the deep roads… by the time Inquisition rolls around… Yeah. Big regrets. 

Bethany’s safety or Bethany’s freedom and either way Hawke feels responsible :)

solas is capable of sleeping anywhere. and he seems like the type to sleep in stints, like “twenty minute nap then back to business” so the blanket thing happens A Lot 

5. Where is their number one date spot? Why do they love it so much there? 

i feel their their dates consist of very long, meandering walks. walks have their own sort of privacy, where you can be seen but no one hears enough of your conversation to really eavesdrop. plus they’re both practical people? and it’s what they have time for.

6. Who would be more likely to hug their partner and pick them up off the ground? 

Hawke is Strong and Excitable and full of Love!!!!! and Anders does not get nearly enough to eat probably. 

7. If one partner isn’t the best at communicating their feelings, how do they show their feelings to their significant other in other ways? 

Anders is expressive, but also easily overwhelmed? notes. he loves leaving notes. 

(hawke is not great at verbal communication. does lots of physical touch & acts of service, like backrubs and stuff)

12. Who is the one who does the cooking while the other helps prep the food? 

honestly they both seem kind of abysmal at cooking. Hawke picks out new recipes for them to try making and Aanders helps with prep.

he did! first of all like, if anyone should drink from the well it should be a dalish elf but that’s what i think not necessarily my characters. 

he and his twin sister trained under their Keeper together because his sister displayed magic pretty young, and they assumed he would eventually as well. 

that didn’t happen. but his special interest is the old lore so of course he drinks from the well. 

7. Did they tell Dorian about the letter? Did they get him to forgive his father? 

he told dorian about the letter. Levaan doesn’t do deception well, nor does he really want to. 

he encouraged dorian to forgive his father. harboring that kind of bitterness for the rest of your life would kill you, he thinks.

she doesn’t drink from the well. 

she’s a bit in the Sera camp, of “mages are fine just so long as they’re mages away from me.” 

she’s not scared of magic, she just has a healthy distrust of, uh, everything. and particularly magic. 

24. How did they react when they found out about Blackwall/Thom Rainier?

honestly, relief? 

Briar felt… hm, like, inadequate in a way, because Blackwall seemed so impossibly noble and good, while she has this ugly past with the Carta, and did she really deserve someone like Blackwall? that kind of song. 

but Thom Rainier did a bad thing but she knows he’s a good man so maybe she can be a good woman.

12. Did they drink from the Well of Sorrows? Why or why not?

YOU BET HE DID 

mahanon felt if the well was dangerous, then obviously it was his job to take that risk. 

if it wasn’t dangerous, mahanon is a study in self-discipline, and therefore best equipped to use it. 

23. What do they think is their greatest triumph?

my thoughts: I’m pretty sure he says that like, immediately after the thing with Karl and all you say is “Hey Anders you’re a person” and Anders immediately falls in love with you this goddamn sad ass puppy dog. I would say who hurt him but I know who hurt him and Templar Order, if you’re out there, I WILL kill you-

What makes me happy about them: ignoring that da2 is the most tragic story every told. it really is amazing how they found each other and were exactrly what they needed and im very soft about that

What makes me sad about them: “One day someone like you will love someone like me, and there will be no Templars to tear them apart.”

things done in fanfic that annoys me: Okay I HATE when fanfic treats Justice like a problem to be solved instead of like, someone with feelings and an important part of Anders! That’s just my opinion!

things I look for in fanfic: mostly AUs because canon is too damn tragic and I want them to have a happy ending. 

Who I’d be comfortable them ending up with, if not each other: Hawke ends up with Varric, and no that’s not just a ploy to you, Jasper, but it is also a plot to you. Anders could end up with Fenris! I think their Act 3 relationship is bogus and I will rewrite it so they realize their shared history with institutional slavery and they will learn to listen and support each other

My happily ever after for them: divine leliana abolishes the circles and anders gets a new identity and he and hawke live in a medium sized ferelden town and teach magic to all the little children and everyone knows it’s The Hawke and The Anders but no one says anything the end
