Episode 10 of Just a Lil’ Guy has been recorded! It will feature the video essayist, Dan Drambles. Dan is working on making a film about the history of horror games, and needs your help! If you enjoy horror games and would like to see a full-fledged documentary about them, take a look at the trailer at the site below! There’s also an interview with Dan, and a survey which will be integral to showing that there’s sufficient interest for the studio to invest in it. Take a look, and remember to fill out the survey!

Just a reminder that Dan Drambles is doing his Wholesome Halloween Marathon (one video for each day of October) for the third and last time. Each previous time he did this, those videos were the highlight of my day during that month.
But this time Dan Drambles is also doing a fundraiser for trans lifeline.
So, please, watch his videos. Not only are they a good and (usually) positive take on horror movies, it also supports a good cause.
The video for October 1st is about Host go and watch it please.
Watch "Nightmare on Elm Street 2: Freddy's Revenge - When Nightmare Got Gay | SLASHER SEASON" on YouTube
It is that lovely time of year when Dan Drambles goes way too hard talking about horror movies. This year’s theme is specifically slasher flicks and starting off with A Nightmare on Elm Street is pretty damn great; specifically because he’s very much got a focus on the human element of the genre. A.K.A. why I love horror. ...And why the remakes keep missing the mark.
There will be a new video every day (and yes he’s already covering Nightmare 2 the gay one), but there’s also last year’s Wholesome Halloween playlist. And for specifically more on queerness and horror, might I once again suggest James Somerton’s channel because there are just... a lot of videos on the subject.
Sharing my current favorite Wholesome Halloween countdown video for reasons. Mind the warning screen; it gets heavy, and it gets personal.
And gave me exactly the explanation I haven’t been able to find the right words for:
“Horror can be a great kindness sometimes, by taking you safely into the darkest moments it can teach you where to look to find the light.“
A watching suggestion throughout the month: Dan Drambles’ (formerly GeekyGlassesTV ) Wholesome Halloween videos. It’s nice to see him on YouTube again, and if you’re unfamiliar, please dive through his YouTube channel and enjoy lots of deep and funny commentary on not just horror... but also a hell of a lot of horror. It’s good stuff.
