Okay so--

I propose the D.S.E.U (Daniel Stern Extended Universe), the D.S.E.U is the idea that nearly all of Daniel Sterns roles all connect in some way-- this includes varying timelines, alternate universes, and references (intentional or not) to other roles he's played.

For example, D.O.A 1988 can be thought of as a timeline connected to Cryil from breaking away, and to Marv from home alone (1/2).

In D.O.A 1988, Daniel Stern and Dennis Quaid both play roles together again as friends, and Daniel Stern's character, Hal Petersham, has a lot of character quirks similar to Cyril (Such as feelings of inadequacy, and being G A Y for his bestie).

Here's how I think the timeline would go--

Cyril and Mike split up to live their own lives and change their names for unknown reasons. (Cyril changes his to Hal, Mike changes his to Dexter)

Hal and Dex meet again, Dex has found accomplishment as a writer, but has lost a spark of life, and Hal is still struggling in life and retains his failure-complex.

Hal kills Nick Lang to steal his novel, and poisons Dex in a mix of a jealous rage and to keep anyone from finding out about his plans of plagiarism.

↓

Dex and Hal have their lil scuffle, Dex shooting Hal and Hal falling out the window

↓

Dex dies, but Hal survives but suffers amnesia.

↓

Hal forgets his name, and changes it to Marv Murchins, and starts a life of crime and teams up with a man named Harry Lyme

↓

Events of Home Alone 1 and 2 play out

↓

???
