so one of the new techniques i wanna try is this thing this guy Dan Tirels does with transfer paper. he coats the transfer paper with paint and then lightly and/or firmly presses it on the canvas to make randomish shapes, like so:

and he does it with multiple colors and also uses a wet sponge to blend and blur the colors:

he also does some other stuff in the video and this photo is not his finished art, but i'm not really interested in the other techniques for now. i'm gonna try to mess around with tracing paper and sponges this week and see what happens

I’ve been fascinated by the abstract artwork of Dan Tirels for a number of years.

He’s from Fleetwood, Lancashire, UK, just a few miles up the coast from where I was born.

This is his latest venture. What makes it remarkable is that the entire story, of which the above is just the first page, was written entirely by Artificial Intelligence. The artwork is his.

Given my total dislike for AI and bots of any kind I don’t know what to think. You no longer know whether you’re dealing with a real person or not.

Anyway - Dan has presences on Twitter, Instagram, Facebook (spit) and also has a YouTube channel.

A piece of art by one of my favourite artists, Dan Tirels, in response to abuse he received from ONE PERSON who doesn't understand the concept of the subjective.

Expressing an opinion, criticism and dislike is one thing and is perfectly fine but abuse and disrespect is totally unacceptable.

I also have an opinion about the person responsible. He's a prick.
