Haunted Highway
"Jack Osbourne and Dana Workman investigate paranormal claims on Americas spookiest road."
Haunted Highway airs Tuesdays at 10PM on Syfy.
I'm trying to come from a completely objective place, but I can't help but compare this show to Paranormal State. Paranormal State has been the only paranormal investigation show that I've been able to get into. There was something about that show that really hooked me. On the other hand, this show didn't grab me too much. While watching I found myself losing interest about half way through. I think my main problem is that Haunted Highway is an hour long. This is the kind of show that could be wrapped up in a half an hour and then maybe have specials that last longer. One big question mark I had at first was that Jack Osbourne is the host. He explains that he's always had a fascination with the paranormal, but it just surprised me that he's so interested that Syfy gave him his own show to investigate on. Another issue is that he wasn't even in the whole episode, he only did one of the two investigations in the episode. I understand that there are medical issues he is currently facing, so don't think that I'm not being sympathetic, I'm just thinking that maybe Syfy shouldn't have used that as the hook to get people to watch the show.
