I know someone who is friends with the girl yesterday and she has no regrets. She doesn’t thing what she did was wrong. In fact she thinks the whole thing is funny.

I hope she’s 10 and her parents will cut her internet connection forever. Otherwise, it’s just unbelievably sad.

I for one, never believe tumblr anons, and I didn't believe the caterpillar story. Cameramen/women don't edit their own footage. Also they gave us no new information, just fleshed out what we already knew. Don't you think it's a little suspicious that a crew member of TXF would submit that story to a gillovny blog?? Not just your average X-Files blog?

That’s mostly because she didn’t give us more informations that I believed her. I agree with you that she should have come to an X-Files blogs instead of mine, but she told me one of my post made her laugh and that’s why she decided to come to me. If she really was on new on Tumblr, she probably didn’t know who were the X-Files blogs and the Gillovny blogs and came to me randomly. That was a cute story, but I don’t think we should spend so much time trying to find out who saved this caterpillar. In any case it would confirm or overturn Gillovny, and it didn’t give any news on The X-Files, so I guess everyone is free to take it or leave it.

I mean I wouldn't call it stalking? They live in Belfast and they could see the signs for The Fall filming and they'd occasionally go down to see if they could meet Gillian and David. But, at least on Twitter, it didn't start off as a negative response to them, more as a negative response to the negative responses. As far as I'm aware, at least one of the girls knew that she didn't have a right to Gillian, she was just a little disappointed, which is understandable.

Well, that’s something of a relief, that at least one of them had that awareness/understanding. Even so, I think that if someone is the kind of person who sees no problem with talking about a celebrity in a type of disparaging or disrespectful way, that’s indicative of the mindset they’re taking with them when they try to meet said celebrity. We as human beings have these instincts that crop up when certain kinds of people approach us...I think as well that celebs like Gillian and David have been around enough fans and people by now to know the difference between the genuine fans and the ones who basically just want something from them. 

I think it is actually exhausting to be Gillian and David--to have the work schedule they do, the busyness of their lives, and the expectations placed on them to uphold a certain image, to do this thing or that thing, all the while knowing that someone is going to be pissed off or unhappy no matter what they do--and I think that they have gotten to a point where they know the importance of conserving their energies. It takes a lot of energy to be around/interact with people that make you uncomfortable, and after a long day of work and who knows what else, I think it would make complete sense for Gillian not to want to expend what energy she has left on that.  Just my two cents, anyway...

Hi there! I would just like to point out that when the girls on Twitter said they were talking about shit 'within ear shot of Gillian', Gillian could not hear them. They weren't walking distance away from the building Gillian was in, and Gillian was on the top floor of that building. They were only joking when they tweeted that and trying to make light of the whole situation.

...Okay? I mean, I appreciate the clarification, but to me, it still speaks to a less-than-positive pattern of behavior. From what I’ve been told as well, these girls apparently have a history of stalking Gillian in Belfast, so I’m not sure how willing I am to give them the benefit of the doubt, especially since these new “details” keep suddenly emerging (this is not on you, by the way...I’m not here to shoot the messenger). It almost feels like a “damage control” kind of thing...like there was a negative response to the original story, so they’re now backpedaling and trying to cast themselves in a better light.

In any case, I have a sneaking suspicion that we may never really know the true story, since it keeps changing so much. So it goes...

Okay so 7 months ago I started asking what David Duchovny's favourite Steely Dan song was and he just wouldn't reply. I found really creative says of asking him, songs, jokes, Photoshopping TXF scenes. And then he changes his bio to Steely Dan lyrics... Everyone on Twitter knows me as the 'steely dan girl'
