4 Elements of Dance choreography - 29/01/2014
In today's lesson we carried on adding and developing our group choreography and Laura, Jess and Jack added onto it. The first section of the piece after everyone has done their motif, it is a section of my motif in the choreography.
In my section I used space, dynamics and relationships. In the element of space we started of all facing the front then turned into facing each other. We started off using personal space, then into general then into global. We then used canon and contact work when we were facing each other. Holly and Jess jumped forward first, then Laura and myself afterwards. Jess and Laura then jumped towards the front with their legs tucked under then crossed their arms down with an X. Whilst at the same time, Holly and myself lifted our arms like an arc, then back into the same position as before. The dynamics we used was when Jess and Laura jumped towards the front.
The only thing I didn't use was the element; action. I will add this into the group choreography so then I have used all the elements in dance. My strength of that lesson was that I remembered everything from last week and found it easy to learn other people's routines.
