"That guy literally just paid me money just so I'd listen to him whine about his ex-girlfriend while I dance around him," Kayra said with a snort to Iris as they relaxed by the bar. It was a slow night so they could afford to take a quick break. "This is why I hate it when I'm not on pole duty," she added, gesturing towards the stage. That was her favorite part about working here, being able to make her own routine and doing it on the stage, feeling the lights and eyes on her. "If I wanted to get paid to listen to people's problems, I'd have become a psychiatrist instead."
