I don’t think I’ve properly expressed my excitement on here abt joining the August Burns Red gym?? Their vocalist owns this mental health gym in my city and it plays heavy music and has relevant ABR lyrics and memorabilia and other various Encouragements all over it. It also comes w a weekly mental health coaching group and other activities!!

It’s been just under a month and I’m still just in awe of having a space where I’m the target audience and feel like I belong and have a community not in Spite of the physical and cognitive challenges I have w exercise but w that being smth I can actually talk abt and incorporate.

I’m almost halfway thru short term personal training to learn the machines and proper form and am going like twice a week on my own too, feeling successful already and it’s done wonders for my mental health. I feel actually excited to be there in a way I haven’t felt abt many things in a long time and I feel stronger in my day to day life in more ways than one
