What's your relationship with Jess?

“Jess... I love her and I think I could be in love with her. That make sense? dancewithjess "Nah, I can't dance. I'm not one for music," War practically shouted over the blaring radio. Some of the soldiers had cracked open some beers and cranked up the radio. "I've never danced before." She did, however, take the beer that was offered to her.

She couldn’t help pacing. How long could this surgery possibly go on for? Not that she was a fucking doctor, but it felt like Dom had been in there all fucking day, and they hadn’t had any news at all. Eilidh was fed up with waiting, fed up with this fucking grey-walled room with its hard chairs and anemic landscape paintings.

At least Jess was here. It wasn’t like they knew each other well, but Chris had promised that having her around was a good thing, and Eilidh was choosing to trust him on that. And she was here. That meant something, and Eilidh was pretty certain that Dom would be glad for it, too. If he knew. If he wasn’t fucking unconscious on a table, somewhere beyond those double doors with all the warnings plastered on them about “authorized personnel.”

“Do you think I could sneak in there?" she asked, forcing herself to stop pacing and sit down beside Jess. “Steal some fuckin’ scrubs and get past the nurses and shite?”

So Eilidh and Jess, considering the fact that Chris feels oddly comforted having Jess back in his life. Thoughts?

[Well, whatever Chris is feeling, Eilidh is still going to reserve judgement on Jess for a little while, at least until she's sure that she hasn't reappeared to fuck things up for Chris (who obviously cannot be trusted to judge for himself whether her intentions are good :-p). Eilidh's just really protective of him and his heart.

But once she's sure that Jess is cool, I can see them tearing up the dance floor together and making everybody in the room want to be them or be with them. Eilidh would very much like to get in her pants, but she's cool with it if Jess isn't into that. Still gonna flirt with her like there's no tomorrow, but she's also going to give her tips about what Dom likes, because Eilidh is the fairy godmother of helping her friends hook up with each other.

One thing I'm not sure about is whether they'd talk about Chris. They would absolutely let Chris think they talk about him, just because it's fun to mess with his head, but Eilidh is going to be pretty quiet about her relationship with him, and if Jess wasn't okay with that, it would be a big red flag in Eilidh's book.]
