Badmarsh & Shri – Dancing Drums

This meditation made me want to dance. I suspect that was so because of the depth of this mystery. It’s not that it cannot be known or understood. Words can illuminate it, but part of it must penetrate without words. Dance and music fills that wordless space beautifully. This song is the title track from a great album by Badmarsh & Shri on the Tommy Boy label. Don’t know much about them, just that this is one of those dollar bin cd’s which has been a treasured favorite for a long time. Generously feeding off of Indian riffs, jazz loops, and a galaxy of beats, the sound can transport the listener.
