Things I don’t Understand

We have a dropbox at the end of our walkway. Big grey metal box, says “BOOK DROP”. You can do it from your car. People are walking up the long ass walkway to drop books off in the building. You know, during a “pause” where we’re not suppose to go anywhere we don’t need to.

DROP YER DAMN ITEMS IN THE DROP BOX!!!! I MADE A DANCING UNICORN VIDEO TO SHOW YOU HOW! WHAT IS WRONG WITH YOU PEOPLE!!!!!!!!!

Working in a library, the whole “other duties as needed” can be taken to a whole new level.

It can mean anything from running someone else’s department when they’re sick or helping out at a different desk to fishing weird stuff out of the toilet (sandwich *twice*... a whole pair of pants). But the best so far... dancing inflatable unicorn... which my assistant will be wearing on Friday for marketing materials. Asking one of the other librarians if they can make a mask for the costume. MWAHAHAHAHAHAHA!
