Dancing on the Edge Pilot

I’m 3 yrs late to this party but damn, am I glad to find it!

Came for the cast, stayed for the story.

The premise: It’s the 1930s in London. The Louis Lester Band, a black jazz band, is rising in popularity despite the racism of the times. As the band secures shows and record deals, band lead Louis (played by Ejiofor), finds himself in a series of unfortunate events, jeopardizing the band’s future and his own.

Originally broadcast in 2013, this BBC production has a lot to offer. In addition to an intelligent storyline that covers everything from music and culture, to race relations and aristocracy, there’s a lot to love about this miniseries.
