Almond-shaped eyes blinked. A golden head tilted, and long, tapered ears followed the motion, independent of one another. The eyes blinked again, sapphire veiling and unveiling slowly, curiously.
This was new. Lorene knew that the Multiverse was where anything and everything could and would happen, but...what was this...little thing? An animal of some sort, yes, but...nothing like what he'd even heard of in his world--and his world had demons. Demons tended to be bigger than this, and nastier, and usually controlled by a Dark Mage, though. This little thing was...tiny. And cute. Awkward-looking, with its jagged tail and perfectly circular cheek-markings, but...cute, nonetheless.
The thing that got him staring, however, was the little yellow creature's face. Either he was seeing things, or there was a hint of sentience in there.

He hears a little rustling sound behind him. This early in the morning, when he goes on walks, he doesn't expect to encounter any people. So of course, he assumes it's wildlife, and stops to turn and stare.
Is that...yellow? Something bright yellow, like neon. He tilts his head slightly and steps closer--
And it jumps out at him! He reels back with a cry of surprise. "What the--!"

She stares back, slowly lifting a hand to poke him in the face. Have we met before friend? I do not think we have.
He swallows fairly quickly, snorting a little at the action. He really should be used to animals with a greater sense of self than what he's seen at home, but it's always kind of a treat.
"Well at least you're friendly; what are you doing out here all alone, huh?"
