I stepped back on TikTok just to see people babying/ mischaracterjzing the mh cast again and ughhhh.
I will slam my head into the wall until the cows come home.
They are not poor little babies. They are not too stupid to live. They are not irredeemable asshats. They are complex characters and grown ass men.
I swear half the time its people who don't really care/ look deeper. Then the other half its just blatant abelism. Like this is such a problem with Tim especially, they use his mental illness, his trauma to give him a do no wrong. Yes, he is justified in some things he does or his mental illness explains the actions, but he's still guilty. He still killed two men, he still ruined lives, he's still responsible for those actions.
To a lesser degree ive also seen this with Alex and Jay. Especially omfg that weird subsect that goes "Jays autistic so everything he does is just him trying his best/ not getting social stuff" like 1. That's a headcanon and 2. Still a grown ass man. Jay knows what he's doing. He's definitely under the influence, dipping in and out of things and out of control, but hes still making those choices. Understanding a character doesn't absolve them in anyway.
