Finally finished the whole Giver trilogy and the final book The Son. Lois Lowry is a fantastic author but I cannot stand her endings. Every last dang ending in all 4 books were supremely unsatisfying or frustrating.
Also
Hot damn, if yall are ever sexualy frustrated, just forget to take your boots off during security check at the Heathrow airport. Those ladies are quite thurough.

me: I took a sort of different approach... I think the writer used that tone as a vessel to mask his political commentary in order to avoid censorship. There's a quote here on page 145 that--
