Pulled out what cosplays I thought I wanted to take to DragonCon, realized I didn't want to take any of them. They either need touch ups or will be uncomfortable without alterations and I simply do not have the energy for that over the next couple weeks.

I think I'm just going to plan some ho outfits, pack my onesie for Wednesday, and maybe closet cosplays like Sam from Stardew* and Log Lady from Twin Peaks and call it a day. Maybe see if Azra, the Librarian from Defender's Quest still fits and get new boots and a belt for her. Definitely my new ren faire flower witch outfit!

Genuinely just super comfy outfits that I won't get asked for pictures in but are still fun.

*for some reason I have all the pieces for Sam? I'm not like...anti-Sam. But I've literally never gotten around to even marrying him in a save. I think the former friends were planning a group and no one else was Sam so I got volunteered?

Unless you were a tech at NASA back in the day, when one time some hydrogen a) escaped in a particular building, and b) caught on fire. This was extremely difficult because hydrogen does NOT burn on the visible spectrum humans evolved to see (and flee). Rather, it technically does, but it’s so pale that in practice, no one could see it. Additionally, pure hydrogen burns without smoke and with so little ambient heat that you can’t really sense it till you walk into it. So, per the lore, for a few days all the techs in that building just walked around brandishing brooms in front of them like lances. If your broom lit on fire, congrats! You have located more burning hydrogen! Do not proceed!

it’s actually quite easy to take over a small local government group if you really want to, bc if you volunteer consistently people will just put you in charge of whatever. I’m now one of like three people at a nature preserve making official decisions about trails, putting in a prairie, and designing a series of illustrations for a storybook trail etc., and it’s just because last summer I started coming over once a week to help the naturalist out for a couple hours. Mine now. you too can steal an organization and shape it to your will 🫵
