"Breathe." ((uvu))

Feliciano's body lay contorted in the dirt, which was soon becoming mud thanks to the rain drops beginning to congregate. His mouth slowly filled with blood to match the rest of him. He was full of holes, having been at the wrong place in this battle at just the right time. His arms, legs, torso, they were littered with wounds bleeding out quickly. None of the air left in the world was reserved for him. Gunshots rang in the distance. Should North Italy lose this war, these would be his last moments. Had he been human, he would have been dead long ago. 

But here he lay, the agony already replaced by numbness, and the loud ringing in his ears punctured by a smooth voice, "Breathe." 

Breathe. Yeah, that's what he needed to do right now. But he had stopped breathing long ago. Despite this, he gathered strength and turned his head to the side, the soft impact causing a small amount of mud to splash onto his face. Slowly, the blood began to drain, and between dark phases he spit to help it out. 

Gradually, he began to inhale. They were small at first, but his breaths became bigger as he pushed to make them visible to her. Just one that she could see was all he needed, and then he could go back into the gray area and hope this wouldn't be the last battle. He quickly came to the realization that only one of his lungs was functioning, but still he breathed until he couldn't anymore, the pooling blood threatening to choke him hard.

There wasn't much after that. It had stopped hurting long ago, but it didnt make it any less exhausting. The gray area welcome him back, and transformed into a black area as quickly as a gasp.
